I’m glad this is getting talked about more. People (ok maybe just liberals) have always felt a strong desire to defend higher education. I want higher ed to be great too, but people really need to come to terms with how broken, anti-democratic and capitalist these institutions have become.

Macklemore says “free Palestine” and the ADL applauds him losing gigs for it. Kanye West puts out a song called “Heil Hitler” the org can’t be bothered to have an opinion on it. Instead, they insert themselves into the concert venues to do trainings on hate symbols.
In addition, the ADL has been working to put together a "best practices" guide which will include training venue workers on anti-Semitic symbols, statements and other totems. Those materials will be available to workers at both of Ye's shows.
