Pleased to see our work on CCHFV now published: We directly compared two genetically distinct CCHFV isolates (Afg09 and Hoti) in the same mouse model. Both isolates caused severe disease, but we observed distinct differences in disease progression and viral distribution. doi.org/10.1038/s442...

Let me just point here that transGENIC mice are not the same as tranGENDER mice. Transgenic mice are those where we introduce a gene into one of their chromosomes to study mechanisms of disease and find cures. Transgender mice, as described by D. Trump in his recent congress speech, do not exist.🧪
