I would open a combo community center, coffee shop, skill share, pop up restaurant, and bar on a full city block. Create a space where teens can have a third space, adults can have a drink or mocktail, and community events wouldn’t have to spend tons of cash for the venue.

Reading about yet another independent LA theater being bought by a celebrity for film preservation - can we get some big names to purchase small indies in secondary markets instead? More theaters in NYC or LA doesn’t preserve culture for the many, it concentrates it in the hands of the few.

I had many minor celebrity encounters when I lived in NYC, but my favorite was from long before - when I was in 4th grade I had a raging case of poison oak on my face and made my acting debut as Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The uncle of a classmate, Kevin Kline, was the MC for the show.

Letterboxd review from lexstatic about The Shadow 1994 reading: From the moment I laid eyes on Alec Baldwin, I decided that this movie was the made for TV movie that Jack Donaghy from 30 Rock commissioned as a vehicle for himself to star in and the subsequent 90 minutes did nothing to prove me wrong.

Good news! My ding dong dog has pink eye and not a foxtail. Giving him lots of freeze dried beef liver despite him attempting to bite literally everyone including me at his vet appointment (he had a muzzle and we are all unscathed). What a jerk. Enjoy your eye drops my bro!

Grief brain is so strange. I am both paralyzed by not being able to imagine the world without my friend, + consumed with planning for what’s next (should I buy lumber for raised garden beds, finance a new laptop, buy coffee + sugar in bulk?). I managed to eat and dress myself before noon at least.

2019 order of removal, that order granted statutory withholding of removal to El Sal-

an administrative error, see App., infra, 60a, that does not license district courts to
seize control over foreign relations, treat the Executive Branch as a subordinate dip-
lomat, and demand that the United States let a member of a foreign terrorist organ-
ization into America tonight. For starters, because MS-13 members such as Abrego
Garcia have since been designated members of a foreign terrorist organization, they
are no longer eligible for withholding of removal under 8 U.S.C. 1231(b)(3)(B). Fur-
ther, the United States has ensured that aliens removed to CECOT in El Salvador
will not be tortured, and it would not have removed any alien to El Salvador for such
detention if doing so would violate its obligations under the Convention Against Tor-
ture. Moreover, respondents treat the relief here as “routine,” Resp. C.A. Stay
Opp. 1, but that relief goes far beyond merely facilitating an alien’s return, which is
what courts have ordered in other cases. This order—and its demand to accomplish
sensitive foreign negotiations post-haste, and effectuate Abrego Garcia’s return to-
night—is unprecedented and indefensible.
