Time to renew my #VWFC season tickets. The price increase is manageable within my budget. Thankful Kid got academic scholarships for university! But the real question with Kid away for most of the season now: do I go down to two tickets (more affordable) or keep three (more fun for friends/guests)?

Today: 2 hour work meeting, then a grocery shop, then cooking ahead for the week. (A pot of cannellini beans, some frittata for quick breakfasts, a batch of homemade granola, some daal.)

Finished yesterday day with 224 minutes of exercise. Just from walking/taking transit instead of driving.

Literally to increase my exercise to an hour a day all I’ve had to do is stop driving my car. Went for a walk with a friend this morning, then took transit to a meeting at my office and I’m already at 137 exercise minutes for the day on my Apple Watch/Fitness app.

It's called film "footage" because camera operators initially held the cameras with their feet. That changed after a film shoot in 1931, when an operator got a foot cramp and was forced to hold the camera in his hands. The "footage" he got that day was extraordinary. That man's name? Hans Cameraman.

I left my car at the office yesterday so I would have to get up early and ride my bicycle to work. For seven years I didn’t have a car and biked everywhere, but now I have to trick myself into not choosing my car in the morning. (I need a car for my job a couple of days/week or I’d just sell it.)

Shout out to the person who had the idea for the free bike valet at Whitecaps games. Check your bike in before the game, go back after the game and get your bike back. Leave the helmet with the bike and you don’t have to carry it around the stadium or worry about leaving it behind. For ZERO DOLLARS.

In the hour-ish I’ve been sitting in this library, I’ve watched the kindness of the librarians to every person who’s asked them a question. They gave a loaner bike repair tools kit to someone. They taped up the torn pages of a book a little girl brought to them so she could keep reading it.
