I have always loved Icelandic naming conventions, especially dóttir. If I could choose a name for myself it would include a surname with that suffix. Iceland seems to be a lovely place from all I learn about it. 🥰

The lessons from Brazil and Serbia? Don't concede one inch of ground to the far right. Don't appease. Don't triangulate. Don't grovel. Don't say they have "legitimate concerns". Mobilise your base, and fight them with all the democratic means at your disposal.

Yes and it often ends up being more of a vote against an extreme, but either way, I think it is important. Same as in Brasil.

Exactly. The Brasil events also add support to the purposes of the French movements. I also do not understand so many claiming the elections are already decided in France. Even forgetting all past elections, just remembering what happened a few months ago, anything is possible.

The organising by Lula's voters in Brazil right now is astonishing. They still might not win but they've put millions on the street and they have shifted the polls back to a tie -despite, in a friend's words, fighting "everyone -Trump, Meta, legacy media, the rich, betting companies, evangelicals".

I will look into that. Online would truly help. Have started with a neurologist, but not really much hope there. Wants me to do MRIs, but no energy for that at the moment. Thank you again. This is truly helpful information and I do hope you have found Drs who can actually help. That is amazing.

People have a really hard time with this but it does need to be talked about. When we let capitalists control the production of technology, the value/"free time" created is always, always going to be stolen back by the system.

Recently had small garden snakes also trying to enter through the front door, but kept getting caught in the frame. I absolutely do not want to harm them, but it is dangerous for them in my house. So difficult. Luckily they have gone elsewhere and this morning it was just a small lizard, a mantis,

Ok. If it's too much I can delete it though. For me the macro photos with the smiling eyes is what I think made me more open to them. I let the small ones stay and chat with them like friends. The larger ones I am afraid I might harm so I liberate them outside. When I was conducting research on

🤣 I meant paper notebooks 📒 that I write in with an ink pen. 🤔 Added photo for other uses like helping liberate spider friends who are just a bit too big to stay inside for their own good. N.B. If spiders are an issue I will delete this response. 🙂
Sweet spider friend in a glass awaiting liberation outdoors where it would risk less harm. Underneath is the orange-yellow cover of a small Rhodia notebook that serves various purposes including making lists. This specific spider was actually found on my shoulder and had various escapades prior to liberation. 🤔

I have multiple notebooks of different sizes with different lists as well as various lists on my computer. I still forget and/or forget to look at the lists, but it helps. 🙃 As soon as I can afford it I will also repurchase a large desk size agenda that I can write on. Used to have one every year.
