That is Jacob Rees Mogg, son of a former editor of The Times newspaper, educated at Eton and Oxford and is most definitely NOT a member of the elite. To further this he has a knighthood, a hedge fund and offshore account as he believes in the UK. He's so one of us.

The 3-1 defeat today was harsh and quite flattering to Bedford. A few weeks ago we were frightened by everything - pushing up, headers, tackles, even passing. Now 20 yards further up and going through the back of the opposition to win the ball. Even if we keep losing, leave 'em some bruises. #pafc

Leyton Orient's kit does make it look like they're wearing comedy sized, knee length braces. Missed a trick by not teaming it with a giant dickie bow or tie. #pafc

"You may well argue that the Golden Globes don’t matter." We should argue that NONE of the awards ceremonies matter. Horror films don't need a panel to award tacky gold plated doorstops. They often find their crowd despite industry, and often journalistic, snobbery.

I don't know how Orient fans regard him, but with hindsight I wish I wasn't as hard on the bloke. The highlights show him contributing and scoring different types of goals. Shilton's team wouldn't have worked as well without him. #pafc youtu.be/j5OJSwI9hq0

Bought in late '92 for £200k, he scored 18 that season for Orient. Then followed that up with 13 in 92/93, 17 in 93/94, 7 in 94/95. For someone doing a lot of grunt work for Marshall, Dalton, and Castle to work off, he more than contributed. That 7 in 94/95 season was actually some going. #pafc

Watching him when I was 11-14, Nugent looked languid, not as fluid as many in Shilton's marauding team. As a result I didn't appreciate him. His job though wasn't his to be glamorous. Despite the stick he got, he was easily the difference in games, and quite a few were 3-2 wins. #pafc

As we're playing Leyton Orient, let's have a look at a guy who had almost identical numbers for each... The unfairly maligned Kevin Nugent. Across two spells with Orient got himself 157 games and 35 goals. In just over three seasons with Argyle, 160 games and 37 goals. That's consistency. 🧵 #pafc

Their investment into gentrification (not regeneration) of parts of Manchester, is the same reason the likes of Escobar used to pay for a village football pitch. It's cheap to them and buys useful idiots. "Look what they've done for the community" is you acting as their human shield.

If you love satire and want a bloody good laugh, this Man City statement is for you! Overwhelming evidence to show they're innocent, but couldn't be arsed to hand it over or cooperate. Who'd have thought being owned by an absolute monarchy who abhor the rule of law could do such a thing?

It is tiring to see them go back to that well. The other one they repeat is build someone up, knowing full well they're going to kill them. The writers won't let non core characters have nice things... or even their lives for very long.

Alexander Warn @alexanderwarn.bsky.social · 28/09/2026
Dead City season 3 or "Gimmicks Galore." In true TWD style, they decided they needed a character to have abrupt turns in behaviour to drive plot. Negan was pivoting so sharply, surprised he didn't get whiplash. Ep 6 in particular was a writers exercise that took the piss out of the audience.

Rodri... Now Mancini... I expect another well rehearsed but disingenuous cry of innocence from Guardiola. They know what they got was through deliberate circumvention. Wipe them from their records, render their medals meaningless and spoil those memories. They knew the money they were taking.

There's a step at Argyle between Blocks C and D which nearly took out three people. Shins were in danger. It's not as successful as the step I sat next to at Villa Park in '92. That took out a then £100 worth of food and drink. Burgers, after chips, after tea all went a flying. #pafc

Trigger used to keep a team pinned back, partially because he would frustrate the hell out of centre backs and they'd foul him. Pepple is very capable of that, is more athletic than Trigger but he's inconsistent at it. He needs to be an utter pain in the ass for 90 mins. #pafc

This is what we look like to the referee, trying to get free-kicks. Our overacting is to the standard of a local am-dram society deciding to do a "comedy" saucy panto about Snow White. #pafc

Half-time musings: In a race, our defence is easier to skin than a rabbit with a zip on its back. Reverted partially to dropping easily on contact and going all doe eyed begging for free-kicks. Why can't our strikers head? Do they close their eyes? Their eyebrows at weird angles? #pafc

Maybe this is the poor dude's problem, his peak was in that type of academy style football. It's too easy for them these games, as we saw with Finn last season. They're also not an especially good barometer as to where they are. Getting over the bridge is the tricky part. #pafc

Not a clue anymore. At least we got a shiny brutalist gate out of it. And I've partially enjoyed the imagery pot of luck of - barriers moved to one side. Then back in their original position. Then flat on their face. The dates changed.
