As we're playing Leyton Orient, let's have a look at a guy who had almost identical numbers for each... The unfairly maligned Kevin Nugent. Across two spells with Orient got himself 157 games and 35 goals. In just over three seasons with Argyle, 160 games and 37 goals. That's consistency. 🧵 #pafc

Gave Underworld (1985) a go purely because it was Clive Barker's first screenplay. Egads it's bad. Not his best writing, but the director miscast pretty much everyone, and they're performing from an old BT phone box. Once seen, best forgotten. 2 years later we got Hellraiser thankfully.

Honourable mention! Ian Pearson - 7 years and 6 months Signed from Goole Town in 1974, didn't do an awful lot, so left for Wycombe in '76. Roll onto 1983 and Johnny Hore signs him from... Bideford. Scores his only goal for us and then leaves in '84... for Bideford. All that for 25 games. #pafc

Jason Rowbotham Across 9 (technically 8 1/2) seasons in three spells, Jason managed a whopping 69 games, 56 starts. 4 of those seasons he didn't see any games, and didn't even make the bench. Did beat Celtic in a Scottish League Cup final though. No wonder he looks so perplexed. #pafc

Frank Cosgrove This dude did 11 seasons for 105 games. Now 77 of those came in 4 seasons, other 7 seasons he barely got a look in. Not only that, he predated subs and was from Hartlepool! All that bloody way in the 20's for so little. Admire that man's patience! #pafc

Squad number designations should be streamed on Argyle TV. Presented by Paul Boardman, there are two tombolas - one with names, one numbers, luck of the draw what they get. The number is then written in binary on the shirt. This way the club shop only has to order a load of 0s and 1s. #pafc
