A terrorist targeted federal workers last week. There wasn’t much reporting on it. But I’m not finished thinking about it! 🧵 An anti-vaxxer fired more than 500 gunshots into CDC Atlanta, shattering 150 “blast-proof” windows on 6 buildings. Employees were pinned down in terror.

Help! We need your help NOW. Flood the public record with pro-science, pro-vaccine voices. We have to speak up and out now to drown out the anti-vax sentiments. Spread the word! See comment below with writing tips. #ACIP #publichealth #vaccines

Updated CDC technical report on the Louisiana case is out. There are low frequency mutations in HA that indicate adaptation in a human host—specifically this human host. But this doesn’t really change much in terms of estimating pandemic risk. www.cdc.gov/bird-flu/spo...

My friend texted me to ask if it's still worth wearing a 😷 while traveling this holiday week. My answer was an emphatic YES. The weather is colder, we are seeing flu, rsv and covid seasonal uptick. Airports will be crowded and poorly ventilated. PS - Get you flu/rsv/covid shots if you qualify.
