I'm the same with the size, fibro, etc. I read the Wirecutter article recommending mattresses for side sleepers and bought a Saatva. Quality and materials are good but it makes my hips and shoulders hurt worse. Do NOT recommend.

I had a month gap between college graduation and marriage when I couldn't be on either my dad's or husband's health insurance. I was denied buying insurance myself because I had taken antidepressants. I could have been denied future coverage for any "pre-existing condition" because of the gap.
