I did a thing! I'd been sewing since October to get enough clothes to attend the Jane Austen Festival at the Heritage Village outside Cincinnati last weekend. I had a lot of fun, and can't wait to take a break from sewing to make some lace!

I searched Newspapers.com and found one ad for a "La France" glove-fitting hip form in a newspaper from Columbia, SC in 1903. That's as close as I could get.
