With it being Swap Shop's 50th today, I'm wondering if Robert McKay ever did manage to achieve what must be the Most Hopeful Swap Request Ever.
Robert McKay wants to swap a fossilized tree root (a whopping 10cm long) for the Dr Who Radio Times Special or any Dr Who or Dalek Annuals.

Well you should've tied them down better.
A sign in a shop, locally printed in a default word processor font on A4 paper saying “helium balloons are now upstairs”, stuck partially over a more corporate official-looking sign (red and yellow, parts of words that might be “for latest offers" visible) which has “boyesstores” in the corner, then a Facebook logo

A square design from 1966. It says BBC1 PROGRAMMES THIS CHRISTMAS, with a snowflake under the word Christmas. The words programmes and Christmas are in a 60s psychedelic font. The word THIS is in Eurostile and the BBC1 is the BBC1 logo from 1966.

Blimey. Four years ago all that Obit Alert training came in handy as I pressed the button that handed us back to Network for what seemed like a very long time.

We went to see The James Taylor Quartet at a small venue in Pentyrch (the excellent Acapela). Four people in front of us kept looking at the listing on their phones (which had video links). At the interval they left and never returned. We could only assume they got their James Taylors mixed up.

I have a feeling this is the first time I've smuggled a Monty Python reference into a script.
A script introducing an episode of daytime quiz Do You Know Your Place. This edition is about Bolton, it says did you know that Bolton spelled backwards is Notlob. Tragic, really.

It appears today is the ninth anniversary of me managing to curtail my jury service by suffering my third heart attack. It's not a method I'd recommend. Incidentally, Crown Court lied to us. Trials last more than thirty minutes a day, and often last more than three days.

A quick blog post about recreating the BBC1's 1972 Apollo 17 symbol. www.kecskebak.hu?p=610
A screenshot of Blender, showing a model that is a recreation of the 1972 BBC1 Apollo 17 symbol. The symbol consists of a black box, which has the white legend BBC1 COLOUR on the front of it. There is a cutout of the front two thirds of the box, allowing you to see inside. Inside the box there is a white ring, behind which is a black ellipse with the Apollo 17 logo, a blank black ellipse and a white disc right at the back.
