Book banning is also on the increase in the UK. This comes after the Index on Censorship reported that the Lowry Academy in Salford had removed books containing "inappropriate content" from its library. It said they included Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell and Twilight by Stephenie Meyer.

These French crime thrillers are set in #Alderney! Beatriz Nicodeme lives near Nantes and is a writer of crime and historical novels. She fell in love with Alderney when she visited, and that inspired her to start a series of cosy crime novels set there. #Books 📚 #CrimeThrillers
