Exactly 6 weeks after losing my mother, I find out that my cousin has malignant melanoma. My YOUNGER cousin. Aside from my mother, (who is gone) and my grandmother (who is 83), my cousin was the person I was closest with. I feel like life is giving a very clear message that I'm not wanted anymore...

A brief update: My mother's organ donation was able to save 3 people's lives. I'm sure that will bring me some comfort at some point in the future, but right now, I'm incapable of feeling positive emotions. As for me, I'm not doing well. I've barely been eating or sleeping for the past 2 weeks.

My mother got into a severe car crash on Tuesday. Today, we had to pull the plug. She had no brain activity as of yesterday morning. The only reason I waited this long was so she could be a donor and maybe save someone else from the pain I'm feeling.

The apartment we just moved to is all on one circuit. Any air conditioner use will trip the breaker and kill everything. There's an electrician coming to make the place habitable soon, but not before the first heatwave of the year. My comfort zone is low-mid 60s. It will be in the 90s. Pray for me.

Not sure I like this. I mean one of the main causes of extinction is converting other biomes into farmland, and the desert is an ecosystem like any other. Food = good, Holocene extinction = bad. We don't need more arable land, we need better logistics. We can already produce enough food for all.

I'm so conflicted over whether to apply for this job opening. It pays $80-90k but it's a supervisor position. It's also salary. Supervisor means majority deskwork, which I loathe.
