Tbh reading your experiences with text dnd is really nice because I always think I’m kinda strange for wanting to run my games that way. It just is easier to keep track of info and not lose anything important over voice or real life sessions.

As for Roisin, as a doll she ends up developing a sense of self thanks to interacting with people and ends up feeling like she really wants to be more, even if she’s aware she’ll never be quite human. It’s also difficult for her to grapple with as she doesn’t know where she begins and god ends.

As her dolls carry her essence, they are modeled after humans but always have these moving thorns and branches beneath their skin to animate them. Despite taking up human emotions and energies she still isn’t actually very good at a more natural form though that’s not a living thorn bush.

The thorn bush is almost a sort of adoption of something that’s understandable for humanity! The goddess herself doubles as Eldritch being and because of the place she touched down she ended up taking the shape of a living thorn hedge initially for people to perceive her properly.
