Everyone rolls their eyes when I pick 4'33" as my karaoke jam, but once I start nailing it, belting out the wind stirring outside during the first movement, each of the raindrops pattering the roof during the second, and so on, they cheer in amazement. This throws me off my game.

According to new reports, Brad Lander was arrested by ICE while attempting to escort a man whose case had just been DISMISSED. .. Lander demanded to see a judicial warrant for the man's arrest, but ICE agents proceeded to detain both. The man's case had been dismissed shortly before the incident.

I've known Brad Lander for years. He's an effective progressive-NYC councilmember & now Comptroller..and mayoral candidate. He goes to immigration court weekly to stand up for rts of immigrants. A big spontaneous rally happened at Foley Square where courts are.
