look ive split feelings bout the og series too but at least they TRIED & did incorporate a vast amount of real research into the show as opposed to whatever the frick this team is doing??? this is worse by TAKING "asian aesthetics" for western fantasy consumption - continuing the appropriation cycle

People keep saying “oh so you want OPEN BORDERS” as some kind of gotcha and like. Yeah. When I was a kid you could just drive into Canada. On accident, even. It was great, and I think we should do that instead of kidnapping children. Normalize being normal instead of being kidnapping weirdos

This is a good time to remember that immigration judges aren’t real judges. They work for DOJ as part of the executive branch (under Bondi and Trump) and the fact that we call them judges like they’re independent arbiters would be laughable in a free and fair country.

A huge problem is that this is the first skeet I've seen on my timeline this morning to reference HR7661 as something other than "this bill". People cannot contact their reps about "this bill" - they need the number. Anyway here's a handy script if you don't know what to say when you call.

Call your senators. Call your house reps. 5calls can make it extra easy and you can look up “Iran” as the keyword and find a script that will augment Celeste’s nicely. Look, if I can call my California dem senators and leave shaky voicemails at 1 AM you can too. (Hopefully less shakily.) Love you.

I know this feels pointless but everyone has to call their congressional reps and say they oppose war with Iran and they oppose Trump illegally starting one without congressional approval — both 5 Calls can help you make the call: 5calls.org/issue/iran-i...
