this must be an adult ADHD thing in my brain: being presented with a multi-layered task; stressing about it; avoiding it; then when I tackle it, I discover it was easier than I originally thought, so I feel like a genius AND a dummy simultaneously.

This sums up almost everything I felt about 70 UP - especially Jackie. I could watch her having a go at Michael Apted (and then speaking warmly of him years later, because people are not one thing) all day

Older guy here. I completely sympathize with Gen Z. This headline is ambiguously set, as damned if you do [spend] & damned if you don’t [stimulate the economy]. Do what makes you happy without harming yourself & others, and you’re fine. You are working hard too; treat yourself so you don’t despair.

News headline: Gen Z keeps spending on treats and travel despite economic squeeze

"What music is to me - it's just another way of saying this is a big, beautiful universe we live in, that's been given to us, and here's an example of just how magnificent and encompassing it is." Happy Birthday John Coltrane born September 23, 1926

A mix cover with smearing pink, red, blue, yellow, white and green lights against a black and purple background--a photo of someone dancing with portable fairy lights wrapped around them, but appearing totally abstracted

I saw this paper pinned on a tree during today’s walk. Didn’t know what it was so I looked it up later: The Sigil (or Seal) of the Seven Archangels. A protective, good-vibe-y thing, I THINK; so thank you, anonymous poster, whomever you are.

SOMOS at Baltimore City College is trying to raise $1500 by Tuesday to replace a former grant that covered the cost of providing meals to students and families participating in their Intercambio program, where students teach parents English and Spanish. Please consider giving to help BCPSS families!

For the last 9 years (this is year 10!) our student-led organization SOMOS has taught BCPSS parents English and teachers and parents Spanish in our Intercambio program

This year, our grant funder can no longer cover food costs 😭😭😭. Our community meal has been a central part of our program because it ensures student volunteers and out families got a healthy meal when they participate in Intercambio's evening classes. The meals are cooked by our student's parents and has helped support struggling families make a little extra $$

We need to raise $1,500 by midnight on Monday, so we can make sure the show can go on for our fall Intercambio program. Please consider donating what you can here:

I take comfort in that millions of people visit art museums every day to lose themselves in a preserved brushstroke of a Van Gogh, observing the light & shadow in the human-made contour, amazed that our eyes & Van Gogh’s eyes both alighted on the same isolated brushstroke.

I made this a long time ago. It’s a work based upon the structure of a symphony that allows listeners to choose between multiple movements to produce their own drone symphony This is one possible configuration i am listening too

My phone playing a piece called ‘untitled’ by me. The cover is blocks of blue, orange and colours between both
