Our 1st #RSE ☕️ hr #UDEL @udelaware.bsky.social Almost a dream come true 😇 Been wishing to form such #RSE focused groups for a while now. Thanks to #NSF's new grant, we were able to bring students from diff. disciplines under 1 roof! More such activities to follow! NSF DARSE sites.udel.edu/darse/

Fixed it - It'll take a while, but this will download all the proceeding PDFs from SC24. Note you could strip the title out and rename the PDF the title of the session I guess... But it's a starter for 10. This could be reused for other SCs too. gist.github.com/CJCShadowsan...

If there are any AlphaFold3 researchers or practitioners who have AlphaFold3 up and running for inference I would love to connect. We are looking to run inference on some of the protein structures generated from an ongoing workflow in development

⚠️ If you plan to attend the #SC24 reception tonight at the Aquarium, drop off your backpack beforehand! I just got that info from a SC Organizing Committee member. It will be way more complicated to get in with a bag. The Aquarium staff insisted a lot on that point during a meeting today.

I have not been able to keep up with the steady stream of new followers on #BlueSky as the number of #HPC folks joining this platform keeps growing daily Maybe #SC24 will be known as the conference where BlueSky emerged as a valid alternative to #HPC Twitter

Heh. Last week my BlueSky notifications were full of #KubeCon folks joining BlueSky. Starting this evening though, the wave has changed to #HPC community as #SC24/#supercomputing24 spins up 12 hours from now. Kinda cool to see all of the growth happening dynamically in real time.

What is the future of #HPC if we can't get the resources we need? Is the #AI boom going to impact on-premises procurements? The #SC24 BOF I'm most excited for this year is spanning #LLNL
 #Google #AWS #Microsoft #BSC #IBM & #UTKnoxville! That is a lot of expertise! 🧐

The week before #Supercomputing where it feels every work conversation refers to #SC24 in some way … Either because it is about SC. Or because whatever it is has to be done before SC. Or because whatever it is will be “we will get to it after SC” #HPC
