This is one reason why the “polarization” discourse drives me up a wall. Not only do pretty significant majorities agree on a range of issues; many elected officials from both of the nation’s major political parties align on the OPPOSITE SIDE of many of those same issues.

ACTING LIKE A UNION Despite prolonged delay tactics, deck officers at ATC and OSG have built momentum and function as a union. Workers have formed bargaining committees, established internal communication networks. Deck officers organized surveys, petitions, contests, and advocacy campaigns.

These clowns. ACA is a private sector solution. It is regulated healthcare capitalism, not socialism. Private companies meet the requirements of ACA and states to offer lower-premium (and of course most basic) coverage. Federal govt just provides some subsidies to get private sector involved.
