[at recent group meeting] Me: there's one thing the AI can't do---generate the human spark of curiosity that drives us all. @lvanluijk.bsky.social: No, but it can kill it.

A little task to get your brain going today: Prove the statement in the picture!
A mathematical statement involving operator inequalities and tensor products.
Statement in LaTeX:
Let $X,Y$ be operators on a finite-dimensional Hilbert space. If $0\leq X \leq Y$, then $X^{\otimes n} \leq Y^{\otimes n}$ for all $n\in\mathbb{N}$.

I cannot decide what's my favorite slop: The single qubit CNOT gate or the tentative to make a graph for a bell pair or maybe the new notation ∣0^2 and ∣1 ^1 . Source: a linked in post I saw while scrolling out of boredom

A little treat going into the weekend: the midterm for my quantum mechanics class was a couple weeks ago, and again the students made memes for extra credit. Let's start out strong with a PSA about the dangers of nondegenerate perturbation theory. Do you know where your good states are?

Don't know. However, the system requires clear and direct visibility between sender and receiver, which provides good motivation to start addressing the air pollution problem in India.
