RandomAnt @agnosaur.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Consider me a feckless quasi-liberal then, because after decades of liberal vs. conservative squabble with horrendous results, I think some bridge building is the only way forward. ✌️ 100
RandomAnt @agnosaur.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Charlie Kirk was an outstanding debater and sincere in his beliefs; however, he was a bully and bigot who rigged his “debates” at college campuses. His beliefs were incompatible with our constitutional democracy. I didn’t say this after his murder because, frankly, it was not the right time. #kirk 100
RandomAnt @agnosaur.bsky.social · 07/10/2026When you dig deeper into the motives of people on the Right when they oppose women’s rights, LGBTQ + equality, diversity, etc., you find the pernicious dictates of religiosity. If you accept human nature, you can’t despise them for this, and you’re wasting your time trying to shame them. 000
RandomAnt @agnosaur.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Klein was clear he disagreed with Kirk on most issues, but in the wake of his murder, he had the gall (I guess) to suggest Kirk did politics right via peaceful debate. I differ with Klein on this, but his point was much more nuanced than members of the tribe care to admit. 100
RandomAnt @agnosaur.bsky.social · 07/10/2026A dumb take to be sure, and possibly emblematic of a shift in his politics, but doubtful that it’s deserving of the level of vitriol he now faces. No one can say he wasn’t a proud soldier for left ideology for decades, so the reaction is interesting. 100
RandomAnt @agnosaur.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Funny how folks on the Left are hating on Ezra Klein now, but you used to LOVE him when he was slandering folks like Sam Harris. Face it, die hard Leftists are just as tribal and intolerant as the worst MAGA fools. Cancel culture is real, and the Left inevitably ends up eating their own in the end. 110
