Russia has moved to a new level of warfare - a regime of constant drone pressure that it can sustain continuously. In 2025–2026, the Shahed evolved from a relatively simple one-way drone into an entire family of systems with different missions⤵️

Razing works too. And not just corrupt, a limited time discount raises demand while supplies are constrained, a result that is well documented and ignored. It's overtly partisan AND stupid.

Visitors to the US are on track to drop by almost two million year-on-year. “We’re the only major country in the world losing visitation,” the head of the US Travel Association said. “It’s mind-boggling.” www.semafor.com/article/09/2...

Trump gave a bigly ballyhooed address to the nation about how China stole the 2020 election two months ago and everyone including him immediately forgot about it.

Republicans, in their infinite wisdom, left a big gambling loophole in the Medicaid work requirements. I'm no fan of the gambling industry, but if you are on Medicaid and struggling to deal with the work requirements, taking a $580 bet on both sides of an outcome is one way of getting around them.

You're thinking of Google digitization, which used hands to hold down pages. The IA digitizer uses glass to flatten & hold down pages, and there's no way for a thumb to be used or visible.

The DNC don't advertise their primaries that way, do they? They purported them to fair and following published rules. Those rules also cover candidacy requirements, and Sanders filed as a Democrat when applying as a candidate even though he's an Independent in the Senate, as you say. Not an issue.

I haven't given the DNC money since they undercut Sanders' candidacy, then went to court to say they were under no obligation to host an unbiased primary election. "Harry Reid admitted in July 2016, “I knew—everybody knew—that this was not a fair deal.”" observer.com/2017/08/cour...

INBOX: the last dedicated science reporter at The Wall Street Journal, @aylinwoodward.bsky.social, has left the newsroom. This came after the Murdoch-owned newspaper dissolved its Health and Science Bureau last October. NPR, CBS, and WaPo also gutted their climate desks in the last eight months.
After nearly five incredible years, The Journal's last remaining dedicated science reporter (that's me!) has left WSJ. Following the dissolution of the miraculous Health & Science Bureau last October, myself and a small numbers of others worked hard to continue our former team's legacy, but the time has finally come for me to move on.

I am deeply grateful for all of the opportunities this publication -- and the journalist community I met there -- has given me. From stories about T. rex lips to primate booze problems to shrinking brains, to Nobel Prize and NASA mission coverage, Jane Goodall's obituary, winter storm, volcano and wildfire smoke stories, I left no scientific stone unturned, working constantly to inspire curiosity and wonder in Journal readers during times of increasing turmoil and challenge. I met some of my closest friends, wrote for two of the most phenomenal editors I'll ever have the privilege of working with, saw Evan come home, and learned (in retrospect, naturally) the gift it is to be on a team of professional nerds who drive the cutting edge of health and science journalism in America while uplifting each other and their craft.

Well, this is your counterprogramming kid signing off. Not sure where I'll end up next, but don't be strangers y'all. In the meantime, I'll be coaching roller derby across the U.S., South America and Europe!

the egg price thing under biden was all fake lol
From mid-2022 to early 2025, the egg producers communicated with each other to coordinate bidding activity on a widely used pricing service, according to a complaint filed in a federal court in Iowa.
The complaint details instances of executives for the companies calling and texting each other in an effort to push prices higher.
Under the settlement, the state DOJ says the three companies must end their price coordination, adopt compliance measures and cooperate with
