We saw a segment on Chauvet while watching the Tour de France and we knew we had to go there which we did the next year. I do not have the words to express how magnificent an experience it was.

Ready to start posting photos from our recent Park-Hopper trip. First hop was Hocking Hills State Park in Ohio which provided lots of photo ops. Today it's the very pretty approach to Cedar Falls. #photography #hiking #creeks #cliffs #Ohio

Queer Creek at this time was placid, nicely reflecting the tree and moss-covered rocks which line its banks.

The same creek still lined with trees but now with one of the Black Hand Sandstone formation cliffs in the background.

The Civilian Conservation Corps, #CCC, built this #bridge across the gorge below the Lower Falls of the #GeneseeRiver in #Letchworth State Park, #NewYork during the #GreatDepression. #photography #SupportPublicLands #waterfall

A stone bride spans a river. Two people are on the bridge looking at the falls. The bridge is about 100 feet (30 m) long. It is the only way to cross the river inside the park. This is another example of the CCC's work on public lands. The arch was built by first erecting wooden trusses to support the stonework. The museum at the park has a good photo display of the bridge's construction.

You might try Spark's A Far Cry from Kensington. I think you'll find the characters and the situation much more relatable. Plus you can add "pisseur de copie" to your vocabulary which is quite useful. PS My husband and I loved Greenteeth and everyone we've recommended it to has also loved it.

A curving stone wall borders the hiking trail and the road above the gorge at Letchworth. Much of the stonework at the park like so many other parks was done in the 1930 by the Civilian Conservation Corps. The museum at the park has an excellent room on the CCC's legacy at the park. Many of our state and national parks benefitted from this progressive program to help families during the Great Depression. See if there were CCC programs near you.

A small chestnut colored approximately 6 month old dog with a big puppy head and black muzzle lies on a blanket on a car seat. From day one she was relaxed and happy; so though we'll never know about first 6 months, we're pretty sure that nothing horrible happened to her.

The same dog, body having long since caught up to the big head, rides in a hammock in the rear seat of a car. She is leaning over the hammock. She still looks relaxed and happy.

Today is Flit's fifth #GotchDay. She was a #rescue from out of state. The rescue group in that araa couldn't place all the animals because it was overwhelmed due to a natural disaster. A local group was helping place some of the dogs here. Their bad luck was our good luck. #photography #dog #puppy

I think it's a very good movie so you might want to see if you can find it. I can understand it convincing them to cast her. I just recalled I saw her do Anna in The King and I in 1997 at the Murat Temple in Indy. We took my mom as a birthday present.

I've put Chibnall's book on my TBR. Besides it sounding good, we stayed at a White Hart in Winchcombe on our Cotswolds walk. I'm sure it's set elsewhere (I'm also sure there are hundreds of White Harts in the UK). The only crossover book this month was the Woman in the Library which I also liked.

At high tide the ocean reaches up the shore's cliffs. The rocks in the ocean looks to be floating on water. The tide can be has high as 52 feet (16 meters). In this photo the tide had already started going out.

Now at low tide, there ocean can only be seen in the distance, the 'floating rocks are show to be on pedestals or to have a structure that was just a little nubbin when the tide was in.

Just got my medicare part D 2027 plan summary. The deductible is going up and the cost of each tier is going up. My out of pocket for my asthma prophylactic inhaler, which is already by far my most expensive medication, is doubling. Democrats ought to be hitting Republicans for this constantly.
