When one soldier was asked how he could participate in mass killing, the response was that "the general atmosphere was hatred." Maybe it was this same person who said that it was insanely fun, especially the successful strikes, and that it felt good to have clear purpose.

Another said that many Gazans were killed because they broke rules they didn't know existed. Children were shot if they crossed into zones w inexistent boundaries, snipers arbitrarily shot starving people running to receive food at aid stations if they deviated from a bridge serving as a crossing.

Another explained how he accessed photos of a designated target's (human being) home in his camera roll to assess the best way to bomb it. Algorithms produced a cold architectural math to mass destruction based on building height and # of buildings in a neighborhood: "quantity over quality."

One soldier talked about burning every home they entered and explained how this was done (oil and pillows and flame) and that the motivation for these acts was destroying for the sake of destruction and to ensure there was nothing to return to. Photo albums expressly ruined to destroy history.

What is made very clear in the film is that homes were the default target. There was a calculus of ease and sheer numbers that led to the decision that civilian buildings, at night (when ppl were home), would be the focus targets. Lavender and Where's Daddy, were instrumental to target generation.

One of the things that is going to change is that we’re never ever again going to be able to be dominated by public officials who tell us, ‘Trust the experts,’” Mr. Kennedy said during the Tuesday session.

“If somebody tells you, ‘Masks work, trust the experts,’ A.I. may tell you otherwise,” he added. “If somebody tells you, ‘Social distancing works, trust the experts,’ A.I. may correct that. And if somebody tells you that a vaccine will prevent transmission and infection, or you need to take it to protect your grandmother, A.I. may say it actually doesn’t do that.”
