I know what I usually post around here but this is important to me. For fellow New Yorkers: Chuck Schumer is an original co-sponsor of this bill. His inbox is also very open and contact info includes offices in 8 NY cities and DC Make yourself heard.

actions that will contribute more to pushing against bluesky's censorship than a blackout: -submitting a feedback request -@ing moderation about it -commenting on mods posts about it -making and sharing memes (ex: "i consent!" sticker) -leaving an app store review -just generally posting about it

Over the past week I've been plagued by a weird series of crashes so extensive that my entire computer freezes save for my mouse and audio. Like if I'm in a VC people can still hear me and I can hear them, and videos that are playing keep going.

SO I haven't streamed in a while, what's up with that? Well, frankly, I haven't been having all that much fun with streaming lately. Mostly has to do with other factors in my life causing stress and streaming kind of just adding it it.

A photo of a Twinkie. That was something I remember getting flagged. Now, you COULD appeal it for review and get the flag remove (which in this case it did) but this whole thing was so damn stupid.

I’ve been using it for Spanish since this past winter, and the decline in quality since the inclusion of AI is striking. The things it’s teaching me make no sense anymore. As my best friend put it, “Duolingo’s goal is not to teach you a language, but to keep you using Duolingo.”

My Dad runs something by me saying that he was just trying it out to se what it was like and to know what I think. It was a picture of Grandma and Grandpa he had put into one of those AI clip makers to make it move. Literally frozen on the spot not knowing what to tell him.

Visa and Stripe, in particular, are now at the point where their support numbers will go 'is this about steam/itchio?...' when called. So, it's working. Keep going. And don't fall for the trap of 'well, it's kinks -I- don't like for now, so it's not so bad!'

Aura farming this aura farming that hey Renaissance era diplomat and author Baldassare Castiglione what did you write about in your little book there

Google result for Sprezzatura sourced from Wikipedia, and using several images of stylishly dressed men (some celebrities) behaving nonchalantly.

"Sprezzatura is an Italian word that refers to a kind of effortless grace, the art of making something difficult look easy, or maintaining a nonchalant demeanor while performing complex tasks."

Someone explained this (and the zero sum people that think itch needs to be included in any sort of boycott or backlash) as the equivalent of yelling at the customer support worker as if they, personally, are the source of the problem. Strictly because they're "easier to reach".

Lately I've been tired. That type of distracting tired that sleep doesn't fix. The events of the past month or so caught up to me. New lifestyle changes, new schedule changes, a lot of stuff I was so willing to do immediately but now it's all kind of crashing together.
