My parents were busy with my brother being born so I somehow watched A Nightmare on Elm Street at the ripe age of 4. No permanent scars, though I can't imagine having a newborn and a 4 year old with nightmares is a fun experience.

Love the visuals for Music Box of Horrors this year.

A curtain displaying a projection saying Music Box of Horrors around an eye.

Hi, I'm looking to speak to people who have left games journalism in the last few years and have gone onto do something else. DMs are open, or luke@aftermath.site, thanks!

Makes sense, just wouldn't expect it from them. Even just how it's changed language.

I was kinda shocked Drag Race made it on there.

Also, glad I found a glasses frame I like and that works for my face shape. That it resembles photos I've seen of a great-grandfather I've never met... 🤷‍♂️

I do wear my glasses more often these days, though due to the need for sunglasses often skip it when heading outside. Should figure out either transition lenses or an obnoxiously wide-brimmed hat.

Denis Farr @aeazel.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

Apparently in a selfie mood. We'll see how long that lasts.

Just finished last night. Did a spit-take when I saw this from Sabretooth. Has both actual queerness and the stuff on which slash (how appropriate) is built on.

Screenshot from Wolverine.Sabretooth stares down at an offscreen Wolverine saying, "... ever ask if I wanted to come?" Resuming a previous line about Wolverine leaving and never checking in with Sabretooth.

Lovely that the years-long studio buying spree resulted in nearly every studio Xbox bought closing or rolling into another. Just decimating years of history and work in one go.

Successful glam night! Also have seen phase 2 again, though I might've been the only one left alive to get us there (thank mama Hydea for knockback immunity).

I love this cover for the new Doom Patrol.

A cover for the DC All In Doom Patrol comic. Robotman, Negative Man, and Elasti-girl walk toward the viewer. A sun sets behind them, bleeding red on the ground. The art has a lot of red and orange hues, with the character models elongated.

Yeah, it was this or him in a tank top for new. Maybe a later suit will change my mind (Weapon X in his skivvies must be one).

Morrison & Quietly suit? I'm in.

Wolverine in black leather pants and jacket, nothing underneath the jacket but his fuzzy torso staring at a motorcycle like he's about to discover Tom of Finland.

I'm to believe that these drawers would be this intact when Logan lived in the wilds? Ahem. Also, Phalanx nanotech as costumes? No thank you.

Logan, aka Wolverine, naked except for dirty straight boy boxers, crouched and bearded.

Only one was Phantasmagoria (because of a rape scene). Then I played the sequel as a teen and was amazed at the bi protagonist. Never did go back to play the first.

We saw the clones, but rarely had more than a handful of folks alive for it. Alas, perhaps on our next raid night. Still, chuffed we saw this far into a fourth raid boss in a tier. Farthest we've gotten (and have plenty of time to clear).

Denis Farr @aeazel.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

Hmmm, finished the first part of M12S for the first time. This first mechanic in the second phase is really something. Probably going to take the rest of the night just to get it worked out with our group.

Thankfully dodging her became pretty easy. I stuck with the Reaper's crest this run. The downward slash on the pogo and reach really meshed with my playstyle. Used it a lot to punish bosses dashing and get good aerial movement.

May switch out the clothes here and there still, but loving how my Hawks looks with this accent now (original look at the voice just didn't mesh)

I keep thinking that I've never played Gabriel Knight the first with voice acting (played on ye ol' floppies), and given Tim Curry voices the titular character, I really should make that a goal game soon.
