Seated and waiting to see Otto; or, Up With Dead People. Can tell it's October given how often @dapneym.bsky.social and I have been at @musicboxtheatre.bsky.social. Time for queer zombiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeees.

Neither @dapneym.bsky.social nor I ever remember holiday cards, but maybe we should do one for Halloween. Taken at @musicboxtheatre.bsky.social's garden this past weekend.

First in-office day at work in six years. @dapneym.bsky.social took a first day of the new job photo.

Love the visuals for Music Box of Horrors this year.

Am now 43! @dapneym.bsky.social and I had some omakase at a local place and now in line to see Aliens at the @musicboxtheatre.bsky.social! Farthest back I've ever been waiting for a movie.

Apparently in a selfie mood. We'll see how long that lasts.

Just finished last night. Did a spit-take when I saw this from Sabretooth. Has both actual queerness and the stuff on which slash (how appropriate) is built on.

Screenshot from Wolverine.Sabretooth stares down at an offscreen Wolverine saying, "... ever ask if I wanted to come?" Resuming a previous line about Wolverine leaving and never checking in with Sabretooth.

Successful glam night! Also have seen phase 2 again, though I might've been the only one left alive to get us there (thank mama Hydea for knockback immunity).

Glam night! Today is mimicking another, assigned, teammate. These pants and this light in the Gold Saucer sure are highlighting an area I didn't expect.

I love this cover for the new Doom Patrol.

A cover for the DC All In Doom Patrol comic. Robotman, Negative Man, and Elasti-girl walk toward the viewer. A sun sets behind them, bleeding red on the ground. The art has a lot of red and orange hues, with the character models elongated.

Morrison & Quietly suit? I'm in.

Wolverine in black leather pants and jacket, nothing underneath the jacket but his fuzzy torso staring at a motorcycle like he's about to discover Tom of Finland.

I'm to believe that these drawers would be this intact when Logan lived in the wilds? Ahem. Also, Phalanx nanotech as costumes? No thank you.

Logan, aka Wolverine, naked except for dirty straight boy boxers, crouched and bearded.

Hmmm, finished the first part of M12S for the first time. This first mechanic in the second phase is really something. Probably going to take the rest of the night just to get it worked out with our group.

May switch out the clothes here and there still, but loving how my Hawks looks with this accent now (original look at the voice just didn't mesh)

And done. Final boss took a few attempts, but wasn't too, too bad. Just had to remember to take breaths once I learned the patterns.

By far the toughest boss for me so far this run, but finally managed her. Had read she is generally the toughest, so tackled her first (and Nyleth went down faster).

Read three trades of DC's Absolute line today. Flash may be my least favorite so far? Martian Manhunter remains my favorite (followed closely by Wonder Woman). Comics backlog once again piling up, so trying to read more trades than I pick up in a given week.

The cover for the trade paperback of Absolute Martian Manhunter. A green alien stands behind a car, entranced by and reachibg out to a flying but. A ginger FBI agent stands in front of the car, looking disheveled, his tie undone.

All of this is in front of a motel.

Okay, seeing things I haven't before in Act 3 has me kinda excited. This boss and the story behind it were fairly awesome. Just uncovered a brand new area. Getting used to the buffed enemies now too.

A giant crow-bug with metallic beak flaps its wings.

Hitting my stride with two missions a night or so. Occurs to me most of the Star Wars lore I know is from the videogames (I started Clone Wars, but only made it to season 2 or so... may eventually pick it back up again).

Screenshot from Star Wars Zero Company. Hawks, a purple-skinned Mirialan with teal hair and muttonchops, plays a Star Wars version of a stringed instrument. Canonically this cannot be Jizz.

If you give me a paper doll to play fashion with, I generally will. Also, was curious when Hawks talked about a past relationship and skipped gendering the partner. The evolution of Hawks.

Screenshot from Star Wars Zero Company. Hawks, a purple-skinned alien with two stripes of teal hair on both sides of their head, speaks to a person offscreen, discussing a past failed relationship saying, "Truthfully, I still don't know. It was a good thing for a long time. I have a lot of regrets. But never about going for it."

Hawks speaking to someone offscreen and saying, "Ever. But if you were me, wouldn't you have questions?"

Made my Hawks and wasn't exactly expecting a smooth southern accent.

M12S continues apace. We've seen Act 3 of the first phase. Slowly making progress, and shocked we've breezed past Act 2 relatively painlessly.

An au ra warrior of light and the hume warrior of light mentor that got him into raiding staring at a giant dragon-esque monster with gnarly claws.

And M11S cleared in the second pull of the night. Parsing upper green, and that's with one damage down from Orbital Omen, so hopefully can get that higher next time. Time to see what fresh hell M12S has for us.

Took a walk to see the fireworks and enjoy how quiet everywhere that wasn't the beach was. Given the weather everything had a slightly haunted feel.

A wet alleyway full of lights giving off light subdued by water vapor.

Trees in the foreground of a high rise building whose top is increasingly difficult to see toward its top due to fog and the cloying aftermath of fireworks.
