Temperatures have fallen off a cliff here and this morning it is cold. Not cool but COLD! Now it's time to light the wood stove for the first time this season. Ironically I'm planning on trimming the beard down considerably today or tomorrow as I'm tired of fucking with it.

First light of the wood stove this season as I try to warm the house without the use of the propane furnace.

About 15 years worth of e-waste is finally set to be sent out to wherever. I feel bad about being responsible for this, yet I know this is a drop in a bucket for most people. I'm looking at you latest-and-greatest iPhone types out there.

I actually could have controlled the camera from the app on my phone, but the setup can be a bit tricky. The camera battery was also getting low. I wasn't sure if it could survive having the wifi connection on, so I just bolted up there pretending it was just another morning in the desert.

Selfie vacation pics. Nothing special. Just me running to get in front of the camera and trying to look natural. Enjoy if possible. Unfortunately, my little excursion did little to make me feel less exhausted at and because of work. Today will be long and hot with me dodging the bosses eye.

Sunrise and I'm feeling as stiff and sleepy as I look here.

Had to run like hell to get up here. I kept increasing the camera's timer delay thinking that it would be enough. I got it but if I had my head with me at the time, I could have made this a better shot.

The other day I asked myself a question as to whether I would prefer to lose my wallet or my phone. My answer is to lose the wallet as I can always freeze my CCs via my phone, and I usually carry little cash. Getting a new driver's license can be a pain but is doable. Cell phones though are $$.

When on vacation, I always look around and ask myself if this is a place that I might want to move to. After five days away, I come home to find that I didn't lock the sliding glass door in the back of the house. No issues and not shocked things are fine. Then I realize that where I'm at isn't bad.

Today I went to the town of Keeler CA where I ran into a production crew filming something. I walked over, kept my distance and got this quick video. Once they started filming, I put my phone down. They did two takes of the scene. This is twice now I ran into a film set this week.

Today I went to the Manzinar Japanese internment camp. I've been there before and every time I visit I learn more. Most of the pictures I got there were on my real camera. Here's a few I got on my phone. Mess hall, women's latrine (2), and guard tower.

A semi-interesting fact about that shirt is that I bought in Yellowstone National Park in 1989. It had an eagle (barely visible) and the word Wyoming all in gold. The gold didn't last all that long but the shirt is still going strong. They don't make them like this anymore.

And remember that it's DIET and exercise. You'll drop a lot of weight just by cutting out chips, cookies and such. Don't wait until next year. Do this for a couple of weeks right now and see what happens. The weight you loose will be a good motivator for getting yourself into the gym.

Today while going through the agonizing pain of refueling my car this morning, I saw this on the pump. It must have worked because the price dropped 10¢/gal as I was driving home this afternoon. I don't know why I haven't seen these before, but I'm glad someone is doing it finally.
