The change of season from summer into fall was like slamming into a cliff at full force and then falling off. High temperatures dropped 20º. Not just for a day or two. But for the foreseeable future with only a day or two of slightly warmer days. It's lovely! I love seasons.

I had house guests from the 4th to the 19th. I've worked late every night this week, except yesterday when I drove 2 hours each way to attend a class. This morning I slept in until 9am. Actually, my partner and dogs did too. I think I only woke up because he was shocked it was so late.

Why do I write YA science fiction? Because I was the kid who had to go to the adult shelves to get any science fiction. When publishing tells you YA SF is not popular, truth be told, I don't know when they ever supported it. Certainly not when I was growing up.
