Crystal clear discs like these are always a little tricky to get the needle in the right place, since it's hard to see where the edge of the disc is. It's a bit easier to aim for the run-in if you look edge-on with the disc.

I've been GURPSing for a long time, so I'm fine picking my own. I could see templates being helpful for new players, provided the campaign is in a pretty "standard" setting. Anything outside that can get iffy, which of course is where GURPS really shines for GMs.
