His post is frustratingly informative about how much design work is necessary in SoCal to get drivers to choose to slow down. The PCH and other urban freeways encourage speeding simply based on design. The posted speed limit feels more like a weak suggestion. Glad to see there’s finally enforcement.

I appreciate your thoughtfulness here. I was also thinking about how I like Waymo only because I feel safer than in an Uber, if transit isn’t an option. That perceived sense of safety is what led to a helluva lot of SUV purchases, and…*gestures wildly at all the SUVs in the school pickup line*
