Hi Chikodili, that’s the cover for my debut novel, A Dying Giant in the Palm of Your Hand, published by Masobe Books this year—it’s about a merman who was captured in the Niger Delta and the boy who risks everything to set him free.( I loved Dazzling by the way. Treasure’s voice was excellent!)

Octavia Butler’s Dawn is still one of the best first contact novels I’ve ever read. The mystery builds and builds until you’re thrust, with Lilith, into this horrifying awareness. The Oankali. What a delicious story! I probably need to re-read the whole series again. Thank you, Octavia.#bookrecs
