Surprisingly, often when my patients are told a medicine is on backorder, they come to me and tell me "they said that medicine doesn't exist," "they told me to ask you for something else," or my favorite, "the pharmacist said you cut me off this medication."

I don't know which came first. But I remember having nightmares after an episode of 3-2-1 Contact that talked about red giants and the death of stars. Also, Superman 3 scared the hell out of me for 3 separate reasons (Superman turning evil, the woman getting turned into a robot, and a flask of acid)

So, I actually know a surgeon who did a wrong side operation. The operation was on the back of the leg and he'd marked the front. Before going to scrub he examined both legs to compare, team saw him examining one leg and draped the patient exposing the wrong leg. He cuts through his initials now.
