I think the leak fucked up a lot of things. Between the postgame DLC of Spider Man 2 being scrapped entirely and all the supposed last minute changes to this game, I think it’ll be a very interesting video essay.

Everything I’ve seen of it just seems kinda…off? It’s not a trash fire, but it feels like Insomniac put too much effort in some spots(basically steering you to collectibles) and not enough in others(traversal looks clunky).

Additionally, reading the article in question, he’s not avoiding franchises because of fandoms, he just knows that being apart of a franchise means having someone control your vision, and Zach Cregger is generally pretty protective of his direction.

I’m sure the movie will be fine. His comments about “grounding” it are probably what set people off. Because, video game movies should be a bit silly (Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat) and RE is campy at its core.

Was trying to remember what live service game this character was from where it looked like a bunch of separate ideas mashed together, and it took me 30 minutes of searching but I forgot Ninja Theory tried a MOBA in 2020. Only lasted 10 months before continued development was cancelled.
