Help me understand tariffs. People are saying that Trump tariffs will raise the cost of goods to Americans because importers must cover the cost. I get that. If that's the case, why are other countries considering retaliatory tariffs? Doesn't that imply there is indeed some punitive effect?

@chess.com I have a complaint! When sharing a link to a chess game, it shouldn’t jump to the END of the game and reveal the winner. It should start at the BEGINNING of the game like a normal person would want.
