Heads up: @panic.com Nova is a great Mac code editor (with FTP) for #Playdate dev, integrated w/Simulator, and it’s 40% off for another week. I really like how they handle updates: you get a year, and can pause/resume additional years any time. Whatever your latest version, you keep it forever. 👍

My #Playdate audio/visual horror scavenger hunt OUTSIDE PARTIES ($4 off for a few days) has 150 items to find. But not a simple linear sequence—it’s a branching flowchart of different quest types. Everyone gets the same story, but in a different order. 4 “bottlenecks” keep the big twists in order.

Today I learned you can re-wrap a #Playdate game to see its wrapping paper again: hold (A) until the new-game animation triggers (10 seconds). Tips: • Letting go early just launches the game. • If you don’t let go when the animation happens, the game will unwrap immediately when you do let go.
