Look at this two page cutaway diagram of the Fortress of Solidarity! The stuff childhood dreams are made of. It encapsulates so much of what makes this book beautiful and unique. As if comics took a different evolutionary branch at the end of the Silver Age.
Two page spread in SUPERGIRL No. 18 featuring a wonderfully detailed cutaway map of her Fortress of Solidarity, just like you always needed but never knew you did until now.

When I tell you guys that Sophie Campbell’s SUPERGIRL is among the best things out there, I mean it. The best, of ALL THINGS. It’s like reading peak Henry James—there’s nothing else like it, and it feels like it’s coming from an alternate reality where everything is clear and brilliant.
SUPERGIRL No. 18 by Sophie Campbell, held by me.

This is an affront to everything that I hold dear. The author is a professional academic historian who asserts that Julius Caesar declaring himself dictator was a result of “unchecked democracy.” Like, seriously. In public.
The headline of a Wall Street Journal editorial entitled “Abolishing the Senate Has Been Tried Before” with the subhead “Among those who followed the DSA agenda: Julius Caesar” by Thomas F. Madden who is apparently a professor of History at Saint Louis University.

If this is your headline when you’re talking about a Republican primary, you might be in some trouble.
Wall Street Journal editorial regarding the Republican primary run-off election, with the headline “Not a Blue State.” Which, again: there were no Democrats running in this election as it was a Republican primary.

Interesting to note that at no point in her article does this young lady bother to outline which of the “conservative views” she holds are actually NOT a threat to her liberal theatre friends. She states liberals are prejudiced against conservatives but never addresses why that might be.

Pictured: the vast expanse of couch Gunther could be sitting on instead of me, who he can be seen currently wedged against as if we were clinging to the side of the dang Matterhorn. For a small dog he is very hot.
Point of view shot from the author, where we can see his miniature schnauzer perfect upon his torso, looking out upon a vista of approximately half a mile of completely empty couch that is just not as comfortable I guess.

I love Homage shirts, but this is a crime against humanity.
A nice purple T-shirt by Homage absolutely ruined by having Rob Liefeld’s cover for X-Force No. 1 on it, which has somehow become even more badly drawn and garishly distended over the years.

This morning just before 7am local time, an individual fired multiple rounds at a Dallas, Texas ICE facility, killing one, wounding several others, before taking his own life. FBI, DHS, ATF are on the ground with Dallas PD and state authorities.

While the investigation is ongoing, an initial review of the evidence shows an idealogical motive behind this attack (see photo below). One of the unspent shell casings recovered was engraved with the phrase “ANTI ICE.” More updates will be forthcoming.

These despicable, politically motivated attacks against law enforcement are not a one-off. We are only miles from Prarieland Texas where just two months ago an individual ambushed a separate ICE facility targeting their officers. It has to end and the FBI and our partners will lead the these investigative efforts to see to it that those who target our law enforcement are pursued and brought to the fullest extent of justice.

Thankfully, no law enforcement personnel were injured. Please pray for the injured and deceased.

I the “is this helpful? I dunno” department, assuming the round used was something like the bottom one on this chart, the bullet casing was about 2.75 inches long and .308 inches in diameter. Large for a bullet, small for a canvas.
