Amazon's AI plagiarism bot's response includes "Given your experience with electronics projects and radio communications, I'd recommend contacting LISEN directly to confirm the exact shield design and whether it provides full continuity from connector to connector."

Thanks for putting that out there. The good news is it's not terribly difficult to get licensed these days and all you need to use the those radios is the easiest "Technician" class license. A couple of resources: www.arrl.org/licensing-ed... hamstudy.org

This is good news, but the jerk in me wants to point out that neither Morongo grade nor Yucca grade on 62 (where the article seems to imply the crossings will be built) are in Joshua Tree Park nor town. That's kind of the norm though when it comes to press about this area so no big deal I guess 🤷‍♂️

A local ham friend sent this "Amazon product photo for some PL-259 connectors." My question is can I put any PL259s on with a pop-rivet tool, or does it require special connectors? #AIslop #AmazonSlop #HamRadio #AmateurRadio #CBradio

Amazon product photo for PL-259 connectors. AI slop in great evidence in 2 of 3 frames. An outdoor scene shows coaxial cable with it's connector attached to what appears to be an antenna bracket attached to a mast, rather than an antenna. In another frame, a man appears to be terminating a piece of coax with a PL-259 by using a pop-rivet tool instead of coax crimpers. Some hallucinated, unidentifiable tools lay on the bench top, along with a slopified version of part of a PL259 connector.

For those wanting to learn Morse; using a visual aid is a quick way to memorize it but it will slow you down when trying to copy it off the air. The best way to learn Morse is audibly using the either the Koch or Farnsworth methods or a combination of both. Sorry for the "Actually..." post. 🤷‍♂️

I put together another Masters Communications USB radio interface. This one is the RL-20. Low cost, less frills, for making a radioless node. Which I want to do someday, right now using it for testing some radio stuff. This board lacks the fail safe PTT disable, a pretty sweet feature. #HamRadio
