Okay a tiny thread because people are going to freak out: This exploit in particular takes advantage of a special command that renders images (via attribute escape). If you have an overlay that processes images (most don't) then yes, this is your problem. Overlay must explicitly create img DOM.

A picture of the exploit, using a command that explicitly includes an image file extension, but also would escape out of the src attribute of an image such than an onerror attribute can be added to the img tag. This onerror attribute can run explicit javascript immediately.

Default behavior for most chat widgets is if you have an image it will not attempt to modify image links into actual HTML image tags. Your overlay/overlay service must explicitly be doing this for you.

I've been on a bit of a Marathon binge lately, and we've been working on future plans for the Interactive Streams. Feel free to read what we have planned below.

Let's talk Season 2.5, Season 3, and the upcoming changes that are planned.

Consumables
Building on top of the Weapons system implemented at the start of this season, we're going to be implementing Consumables. The Consumable system is modeled after the Weapons system, able to be earned after successfully extracting in a run by using the "!extract" command. Unlike your Weapon, you can hold up to two Consumables at a time.

Consumables encompass both the items that a typical shell can hold to help themselves (Patch Kits, Shield Charges, OS Reboots, Cardio Kicks, Energy Amps, etc.), and the Equipment that they can use and throw to screw over others (Claymore Mines, Grenades, Ammo Crates, Trap Packs, etc.).

The rarity of a Consumable directly tied into how often you would see it. For example, you will most likely see more Smoke Grenades than Bubble Shields when earning a Consumable.

To use a Consumable, you can use either the "!consume-a" or "!consume-b" command. Consumables last for a set duration, in order to make sure everything is Fair and Balanced (™).

Increased Stats
We're adding two more stats to the roster, to compliment the new Consumables system: Hardware and Software. They do exactly what you think they do: increase your resistance to debuffs caused by Consumables. Hardware and Software also increase the duration of Advanced Mechanics Kits and Advanced OS Reboots respectively. The maximum amount of time for these resistances to be applied is 55 minutes for Durations, and 60% for Debuff Resistance.

As a side note, we're also transitioning the major stats away from Currencies to Metadata. A proper reason as to why we're doing this will be given when Season 2.5 Patch Notes drop officially around early October.

Increased Fragment Gains
Ever since we found 4,423,609 Fragments collected from last season (Tau Ceti Cup totals + Castle's previous Vault value), we've given out 16,428 Fragments- only 0.37% of the current total. We know that we can do much better than that, so we're making the following changes.

We're increasing the pool slightly. Due to the EXTENSIVE popularity caused by the Vault Breakers game mode, we've recovered 255,028,770 T1 Vault Data, and 13,243,587 T2 Vault data. While we're converting these to Fragments, we have a few ideas on how to evenly distribute them.
Idea 1: At the start of each run, different Fragment Gain Modifiers are rolled based on each Vault Clear percentage. Lower Vault Clear percentages yield better Fragment gains. (Might not yield many results if low viewership continues to be a thing.)
Idea 2: Convert all T1 Data and T2 Data into Unsaved Fragments, and add to the pool. (Would massively inflate the pool a lot, seeing as how the only greatest common multiple between the T1 numbers and the T2 numbers is 3.)
Idea 3: For every minute a viewer watches, they can earn T1 data and rarely earn T2 data. It can then be used to convert to passively earned XP. (Encourages lurking, and lower viewer participation.)
Idea 4: Scrap the T1 and T2 data completely. (RIP =/ )

With Vault Breakers Returning in Season 2.5 (which we're dubbing as "Eclipse"), we'll be using this as an opportunity to see how Vault Breaker progresses and improves over time, using the three weeks it's available as additional points of data.

Armory Updates
We've stated plans on this process earlier, but we're giving an update on a new mechanic of the Armory: the ability to actually buy your weapons. Since we introduced the Weapon system, the only time you get to know the stats of a Weapon were if you got it naturally, or the stats have changed on the weapon. While some weapons are closer to this progress than others, we're going to discuss what exactly buying a Weapon from the Armory would entail.

A weapon would only be purchasable once all the stats of the weapon were unlocked and known. This could be done by getting it naturally or through updates. Once that was ready, it would then need to be bought by a Faction-Affiliated player (sorry Independent Runners). Even then, you would only receive the weapon at the highest rarity that YOUR Faction has sold it from.

We realized that this was a negative change, as it was too confusing to understand at first (which is saying a lot, considering how needlessly complex this system is to understand in the first place.) While we still want to implement buying Weapons from the Stream's Armory, we're going to hold off until potentially Season 4 to make this change.
