As an ADHDer I sometimes get bored with clothes and pass them on… only to find myself a year or 5 later buying almost the same thing! Lesson learned, things need to go into a pending place for me to revisit before saying a final goodbye.

My nephew vomited on my shoes on Saturday. While they’re washed and fully dried (twice) it really brought home that autistic thing of there really only being one pair of shoes… despite owning many.

I love my work! My day is so rich, varied, sad, funny, complex and human. When I think of the misery I lived doing an office job. So grateful to that part of me that got sense in 2013 and changed careers!

In a shop yesterday my child is dawdling along. Several high vis jackets behind us in the queue, clearly on lunch, getting a little impatient. “Pick up the pace love” I say to him. “What pace? Where?” He says looking at the ground. Whole shop erupted with laughter & he got a free lollipop. ❤️

I get that. I’m sorry it’s so rough. I’m like that with the child! He will not take medication and the 2 times he’s had to have antibiotics almost killed me trying to force it. I really respect autonomy, sometimes medicine and wellness has to top agency, which I hate, but helps me rationalise. :(

She still has to force it but he’s secure and she swears a bit more resigned. He gets a treat afterwards so he knows the routine and it’s not all bad.

I really feel your pain. It’s a while since I had my cat but this was the most heartbreaking torturous part and it never got easier. My cat now lives with my aunt, I could never get him to take meds but she wraps him in a blanket,‘literally swaddles him, he squirms less this way.

My son is just 3. We’re a week off his first ‘school’ summer holidays. It’s mad how much juggling this means for someone self employed! Childcare solutions are few and far between here. To the parents in a similar boat with no village & zero family support, I see you (I am you) 👋

2 my cousin sent me a care package. It was in a box & had 3 muslins, a roll up changing mat, extra sensitive wipes, Milton, vests 3-6 month, a wash cloth glove thing, caldescene powder, child’s farm bubble bath, nice shower gel for me. They were the best presents. Above anything else.

We got lots of lovely clothes that we never put anywhere near him! I was too overwhelmed. Best gifts we got: 1 my sister in law made a gigantic lasagna & dropped it up with a tub of coleslaw, bag of lettuce, box of cans of coke & a load of chocolate.
