🤭❤️ Not at all! It’s a spacious home, and since the tanuki had been kept in a box for so long, they look so comfortable and happy there! Thank you!

Ok! I can’t wait to seeing u!!! See you tomorrow then!!!

010

Aco Burnett @acodecodoll.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

However, since you purchased them online, if you’d like to take them home with you directly, I’ll refund you the shipping fee.

110

Aco Burnett @acodecodoll.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

I’ve told the others that they can pick up their pieces on Wednesday, the final day of the exhibition. But since it’s a weekday, I don’t expect there to be many visitors, so there isn’t much difference either way. I’m totally fine with you picking them up in person or having them shipped later.

010

Aco Burnett @acodecodoll.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

Wow, I’m really looking forward to seeing you! I took the day off today, but I’ll definitely be at the gallery tomorrow, so I’ll be waiting for you. By the way, are you planning to take the skull and Osakoburi home with you tomorrow? If so, I’ll prepare a box for you.

100

Aco Burnett @acodecodoll.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

Thank you so much for welcoming these two! I’ll arrange the shipping and send them out next week, so please wait just a little longer.🙏🩷🫶

Who's that in my Christmas tree? Why it's the Bake Zori by @aco_decodoll and he brought me this beautiful book and picture too! #Kickstart #yokai #妖怪

Bake Zori or Monster Sandle is a tsukumogami (animated object) type yokai. Bake Zori start out as normal straw sandles (zori), but gain life after 99 years. This Bake Zori doll was made by artist Aco_Doll and was a reward for backing their Kickstarter project.

This book was a Kickstarter project by Aco_Doll and features the tsukumogami dolls made by Aco_Doll.

A picture of dolls made by Aco_Doll, in homage to Kuninoyoshi's Origin of the Cat Stone at Okabe.

Yay! I’m so happy I can finally share my yōkai book with you! I’m really grateful that you’ve added Abura-sumashi to your collection too—it’s gained some lively new companions, and that makes me feel truly lucky! Thank you so much for everything, Sam!

The Zōri-Obake’s arms and legs are made with fairly stiff wire so they won’t break easily, so try bending and stretching them slowly and gently. The tongue can move too 👅

I couldn’t ship everything in November because the last days fell on a weekend 💦 But all labels are on, so now it’s just drop-off or pickup! It’s a big batch, but everything should go out in the next couple of days. Thanks for your patience! 📦✨

I believe everyone has their own boundaries regarding these technologies, and that’s absolutely fine. Please feel free to see it however you feel comfortable; I just hope my intentions as an artist come through.

000

Aco Burnett @acodecodoll.bsky.social · 05/11/2025

I completely understand your concern, and I truly respect your point of view. The impact of AI on artists is something I take seriously as well. In my case, the original work and materials were created entirely by myself — I only experimented with a small tool in a limited way.

000

Aco Burnett @acodecodoll.bsky.social · 05/11/2025

That kind of reaction honestly feels a bit intimidating, but I still respect everyone’s choice. I just hope my work can be seen for its true value.

000

Aco Burnett @acodecodoll.bsky.social · 05/11/2025

I honestly just wanted to share my work — the book of my yokai dolls — and have people appreciate it for what it is. It makes me sad that something as small as trying an app could make someone reconsider their support.

100

Aco Burnett @acodecodoll.bsky.social · 05/11/2025

Sorry if that rubbed anyone the wrong way! It was just a quick post using an old image — I was just playing around with an app. I’m a CGI artist, and I’m usually not into AI, but I think it’s fine to have a little fun with it sometimes.

Aco Burnett @acodecodoll.bsky.social · 05/11/2025

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for supporting my yokai doll art book — it’s finally happening! The books are almost ready to ship. Some backers haven’t added their shipping addresses yet. If that’s you, please update your Kickstarter profile or message me soon so your book won’t miss the shipment.🙏

Starting next week, I’ll begin packing preparations like wrapping and addressing. Just a little more to go — I’ll do my best!

Recently my Bluesky messages stopped working. I can still make posts and comments, but I can’t open messages—it asks for age verification, and even after resetting, it doesn’t work. Now it’s even asking me to take a face recognition photo. Is this some kind of spam? It’s scary 😱

010

Aco Burnett @acodecodoll.bsky.social · 14/09/2025

Hello! My yokai book is almost finalized and I remade the Nuppeppō for book. I tried using a new squishy material for texture, but it didn’t work well with an armature. The flocking powder made it look messy, but luckily I managed to take good photos before coating, so those will go in the book.

If you need to reach me, please send me a message on Instagram or X,please.🙏I just checked Facebook, but the U.S. customs regulations seem really strict. I’m also starting to worry whether the shipping costs will be enough when I send things out to everyone.

Aco Burnett @acodecodoll.bsky.social · 07/09/2025

Hi Sam. Did you give me some messages?? Somehow, I can’t open any messages on bluesky.😭 I keep getting redirected to the age verification page and asked to confirm, but no matter how many times I set it, it keeps asking me to do it again.
