I don’t even know how to begin to address the harms that “predictive markets” (sports betting, but for political/market decisions) will wreak on our already-weakened democratic system. You can’t bet on subjective actions that a single/set of decision-makers can change (maybe based on those bets).

You might not have caught what just happened on the Senate floor, but the Senate just “deemed as passed” the Epstein resolution. That means as soon as it arrives from the House, it automatically passes the Senate (with no amendments) and heads to the President’s desk. Wow.
