Ah sorry, I didn't add alt text! Here's one with alt text

A screenshot with a results image that says, "Your Delta E ok JND 0.0027. Genuinely remarkable. You sailed past the theoretical human limit like it owed you money. I'd accuse you of cheating, but I don't actually know how you'd cheat at this."

You know, as long as the color switches between two complimentary colors it's not too bad. The darks were hell on a phone screen though

Ohhh I love mantises! I found the most expressive mantis on a walk I took last year that I had to take a picture!

A close up shot of a praying mantis that appears to be looking up at me with its mouth slightly ajar.

I'll join this! QRP to reintroduce yourself :) Hi I'm Ackernym, I'm a watercolor artist and also a digital artist...a generalist really lol. I work on everything from fanart to watercolor landscapes, you name it!

A watercolor painting of two trees and two lampposts at sunset. The trees look kind of like an oil slick with several primary colors showing through at various points. There is a fence in the background and the sky graduates from blue to pink, kind of like trix yogurt

A loose watercolor Painting of Marina from the Splatoon series! She's wearing her outfit from the Octo Expansion DLC in Splatoon 2

A watercolor self portrait. I am looking to the right and wearing a light blue t shirt. Behind me is an abstract indigo and dark red shape

A watercolor painting of Samus and Ridley from the Metroid Series. Samus is wearing her Phazon suit and pointing her arm cannon to the right, Ridley is behind her and holding his claw up as if he is about to swipe down. There are a couple metroid babies to the left and right of Samus and Ridley.

Just got a new mechanical pencil and I decided to test it out with a quick sketch! #art #sketch

A very quick pencil sketch of a person looking slightly down towards the viewer. The background is mostly diagonal pencil lines above the figure's head and then it switches to vertical lines below. The figure is wearing the outline of some sort of poncho.

A pencil drawing/study of @beatricepirate.bsky.social I've liked her music for a long time, and I've wanted to do a drawing of her for a while now as well. She just released a new album, Cavale, which you should check out! #traditionalart #drawing #art

A pencil drawing/study of the musician Beatrice Martin. She's clasping her hands together. All the pencil lines are vertically hatched.

A zoomed out view of the same pencil drawing as the previous image so you can see the pencil I used as well as the entire wirebound sketchbook sitting on a table.

I bought some casein paint to play with, and it's really fun! It's kind of like acryla-gouache, but milk! #art #traditionalart #painting

A teeny casein painting of a tree on a blue sky background. The leaves of the tree are yellowish and there are several little spots of the sky that are poking through the leaves. I imagine the tree is an Aspen or birch tree in fall

I've come to the conclusion that for me there are two types of watercolor painting styles I like doing. One is more of a traditional painting style and the other is more of an illustrative approach. This painting was done using the latter. I like how it turned out! #watercolor #art #traditionalart

A watercolor illustration of a woman with black hair and a blue shirt staring at the viewer. She has an orange red necktie on. The background is magenta. She looks serious

A watercolor study I did of Mont Saint Michel in the style of JMW Turner. I used only French Ultramarine, Raw Sienna, and Burnt Umber #watercolor #art #painting

A watercolor painting of Mont Saint Michel done to attempt to emulate the style of JMW Turner's watercolor sketches. The city is in the upper right, and there are some loose suggestions of rivers snaking their way from the foreground to the background. They all lead to Mont Saint Michel. I used French Ultramarine, Raw Sienna, and Burnt Umber for this piece

I wish this picture captured the depth of color in this study I did of an old photo I took, but ah well #watercolor #art

A watercolor sketch of a snaking road lined with trees on the left and right. There is a dark building on the right, and in the sky there is a gigantic blue cloud that towers over the composition. With the exception of the sky, the rest of the piece is quite dark

I got kinda down about my watercolor skills recently, so I tried to do some limited palette sketches. These were all done with Prussian Blue, Quinacradone Rose, and Raw Sienna #watercolor #art #sketch

Three watercolor sketches done using a limited palette. The top right one is a vague painting of a head in front of a blue purple background, the sketch on the left is completely abstract with a large light blue shape surrounded by a dark red orange color. The lower right sketch is a cool colored tree surrounded by a light background. There is a warm, grass like shape in front of the tree

I GENUINELY have no clue how this turned out as well as it did. I just threw paint on the page, said, "oh wow this is terrible" and then suddenly it wasn't? #watercolor #art #splatoon

A loose watercolor painting of marina from the splatoon series. She appears aside she's blending into the background. I think her outfit is the one she's wearing from the octo expansion in Splatoon 2. Around the study there are some random splatterings of watercolor from earlier tests I was doing.

A watercolor painting of Marie from the Splatoon series, specifically her outfit from Splatoon 2

A watercolor portrait of an imagined person. I later tested to see how this would look as a character portrait in a video game à la Persona or Metaphor, which I think turned out rather well

A watercolor painting of a couple of Camellia flowers. The flowers themselves are red with a yellow center. The background ranges from a light yellow green to a dark blue green

A watercolor painting of Reina from Fields of Mistria wearing her summer outfit. I experimented with outlining the watercolor painting with Gouache
