As far as I know, it may be true about the water usage not being that meaningful. The power usage is obviously meaningful, tho.

Damn, yeah, in full context her point is pretty different. My bad for falling for the bad faith clip.

randomly giving out genuine compliments is such an easy way to make the world a little nicer, i'm always surprised more people haven't figured that out and have a ton of respect for those who have
Screenshot of tweet by Eminem. Text of Eminem's post reads:

I'm sorry we never got a chance to meet, but getting this note from Dolly really had a an impact on me. She definitely didn't have to take the time to do it. Even for a kid who mostly listened to rap music, she was an icon. A superstar in every sense. Rest easy Dolly. And thank you for the kind words.

Attached is an image of a classy and generous letter Dolly Parton sent to Eminem after missing a chance to meet him at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

As Argentina warms up for their World Cup opener, I can't help but remember one of the most absurd moments of live TV I've ever seen
Argentina goalkeeper Emi Martinez positioning his Golden Glove trophy on his crotch while a Qatari host looks on, unamused

My five year old is talking about the "Draft Kings Sports App" and it really pisses me off that we allow advertising for gambling on regular TV.

I haven't watched the Spurs until the Western Conference Final, so I was surprised to learn that Fox was an All-Star this year. Castle, Harper and even Champagnie seem more valuable.

Can you imagine Popavich in that situation? They may have lost, but there would have been no doubt that he coached the bejesus out of them.

Would have never guessed this quick little thing would become my second most hearted @codepen.io demo ever. (there's very little in terms of lines of CSS, but it's all heavily commented, explaining the why behind every choice)

Despite a dismal 3rd quarter, the Spurs still led by 20 and had a 99.6% win probability AGAIN with 9:33 left in the the 4th

The Spurs had 99.6% win probability at 9:27 in the 3rd quarter 😯 Wemby's flagrant was the exact point when the tide turned. The Knicks then scored 12 unanswered points.

The tortoise and the hare
Box score of the Spurs vs Knicks. The Spurs' quarterly scores were 41, 35, 14, and 16. The Knicks' were 22, 27, 26, and 32. The Knicks won 107-106.

Made the mistake of using booking.com to rent a car. Never, ever again. Next time, I will book directly with a rental company that has self-checkout. I don't do this often enough to have muscle memory.

Thread in response to a @jamellebouie.net post on Justice Alito's opposition to women and minorities at Princeton.

Much props to my Aunt Danille Taylor for blazing the trail and suffering continuous hostility from the Alito's of the world. Because of them, I got to have a much different experience.

Years later, I asked my aunt about her experience. She did not have much fondness for Princeton. She did not feel welcome there as an undergrad.

Princeton wasn't even on my radar. But I applied and was accepted. To my surprise, I ended up loving it at visit day. I had assumed it was a snobby place, but it was chill.

My aunt was in the first co-ed class at Princeton. I ended up going there for grad school, and I wouldn't have even applied if not for my aunt asking my mom if I was considering Princeton.
