The Spurs had 99.6% win probability at 9:27 in the 3rd quarter 😯 Wemby's flagrant was the exact point when the tide turned. The Knicks then scored 12 unanswered points.

Also reminded of this moment right before Chael Sonnen took a flying knee to his solar plexus in his rematch against Anderson Silva
Chael Sonnen looks helplessly upward at Anderson Silva, his mouth hanging open, in their UFC rematch. He his on his butt, backed against the cage, and Silva is approaching him to attack.

Moments later, Silva will land a knee to Sonnen's body and finish him with punches.

We're all just trying to find the guy who did this.gif
Screenshot of text from a CNN article:

 When the Fox host responded, “We have plenty of talented people here,” Trump replied, “No, you don’t, no you don’t … you don’t have certain talents, and people have to learn. You can’t take people off an unemployment line and say, ‘I’m going to put you into a factory where we’re going to make missiles.’”

The president pointed to the September ICE raid of a Georgia Hyundai facility, which saw authorities arrest and deport hundreds of South Korean contractors over their immigration status, as evidence of the country’s need for skilled foreign workers.

“In Georgia, they raided because they wanted illegal immigrants out — they had people from South Korea that made batteries all their life,” Trump said. “You know, making batteries is very complicated. It’s not an easy thing. Very dangerous, a lot of explosions, a lot of problems. They had like 500 or 600 people, early stages, to make batteries and to teach people how to do it. Well, they wanted them to get out of the country. You’re going to need that, Laura.”

This just popped up in my Insta and felt adjacent to what I've been posting about parenting
Screenshot of the caption of a Dr. Becky (@drbeckyatgoodinside)Instagram post: We don't need to optimize every moment of our kids' lives for their pleasure. Sometimes, it's actually good for kids to be bored, or to do something they don't enjoy, or to show up for a sibling even when theyd rather be somewhere else.

These are moments that build empathy, patience, and resilience - the skills that make us good humans. And yes, they'll whine. And that's okay.

Didn't know this! From: www.usatoday.com/story/money/...
Text screenshot from an article on financial preparation:

Tax returns

Common wisdom dictates you should keep your tax returns for at least seven years, if not forever. These crucial records are probably already in your files: Just make sure you don’t toss them.

“They serve as a historical record and may be needed for financial transactions, proving compliance, filing an amendment, long-term financial planning, loan applications and even verifying Social Security benefits,” said Mark Gallegos, a CPA in Chicago.

Why seven years? The IRS can audit you for any reason for three years from the date you filed your return, said Paul Mendelsohn, a CPA in Livingston, New Jersey. The agency has up to six years to audit a return over a major issue, such as unreported income. The seventh year “provides a buffer,” Gallegos said.

You can, you can use just JS. HTML and CSS are declarative, static representations of the DOM, which can also be fully controlled via its JS API. So you could ship an HTML file with only a script tag (the single tag is unavoidable) and do whatever you want in pure JS. codepen.io/acjay/pen/Ea...
Screenshot of the HTML section of the Codepen. The contents are the HTML code that follows:

<script>
const newDiv = document.createElement("div");

const newContent = document.createTextNode("Hello world!");

newDiv.appendChild(newContent);
newDiv.style = "color: blue;"

document.body.insertBefore(newDiv, null);
</script>

This works because we see colors as the sum over a range of wavelengths. For a common type of colorblindness, the ranges for "red" and "green" have even more overlap than normal. (Normal already has a lot of overlap.)

Bill Barr's dad also shared with Epstein an interest in sex trafficking and pedophilia, writing a sci-fi novel about it. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_R...
Text screen shot from the Wikipedia entry on Donald Barr's novel, Space Relations:

The novel was described in a Vice article as "both comically amoral and insufferably pretentious. To be fair, these traits were common in 1970s sci-fi." Becky Ferreira has described the novel as "highly unsettling", due to its depiction of rape of enslaved people, particularly teenage girls, and other coercive sex acts. The sex acts described are performed "for the dual purposes of entertainment and controlled procreation". Ferreira found disgusting the novel's fixation on the sexualization of adolescents. She notes that the adult characters are subjected to infantilization. The novel's dialogue includes "casually unsettling observations". She cites as an example a character remarking that pederasty lacks in "aesthetic appeal". She views the novel as sexualizing minors and fetishizing rape, claiming that such elements were normalized in science fiction.
