Thanks for the share! I'm Ace, I mostly draw fanart, but occasionally some original characters. I love art 😊

Storm is carrying Yukio in her arms at smiling up at the other woman, who is grinning with her left arm outstretched and right hand gripping Storm’s shoulder. Behind them, the screen is split between two flags: the pansexual flag behind Storm on the right and the bisexual flag behind Yukio on the left.

Drawing of the batgirls, Stephanie Brown and Cassandra Cain. Steph is sitting on the left, unmasked in her Batgirl suit. She is smiling down at Cassandra Cain, who has her head in Steph's lap and is gently caressing her face with her right hand. Cass is wearing her Batgirl suit with her mask and gloves removed. Both Batgirls have their capes draping down to the floor.

A sketch of a young woman with large black natural hair and dark brown eyes posing with a metal staff behind her back. She is dressed in a dark gray undersuit with dark gray gloves. Overtop is a light gray poncho and light gray boots. On her face is a pair of protective goggles and a gray gas mask. To the left is a sketch of the woman unmasked. To the right is a sketch of a belt stocked with smoke bombs, hidden underneath the poncho. Below is a sticker reading "Hello, My Name Is: Mist Master."

Charli Ramsey poses with their right hand doing a piece sign over their eye. They're looking at the viewer with a small open smile.

It's a classic for a reason. Incredible work by Frank Miller and Klaus Janson in Daredevil #181

Bullseye gets kicked and punched by Daredevil on a rooftop.

The two crash into a building. Bullseye dodges Daredevil's punch and kicks him out of a window and onto a passing train.

Light spoilers: I'll just say that the conflict is super forced and relies on almost everyone being stupid and learning nothing from Krakoa besides Cyclops, who is going to do something insane to be painted as super unreasonable.

Coming out of the gate to say that I was completely right to be skeptical about X-Men United from the moment the solicit dropped. I really liked Exceptional X-Men, but, damn.

The Charli Ramsey mind virus has not ceased its hold on my psyche #hawkeye #marvel #fanart #art #digitalart #ultimates #theultimates

Two sketches of Charli Ramsey:
On the left, a drawing of a semi-futuristic wanted poster with a gray background and an image of Charli looking forward in the center. They are surrounded by black text outlined in light blue.
Text reads:
WANTED
DEAD OR ALIVE
CHARLI RAMSEY- ALIAS - HAWKEYE
DESIGNATION: HUMAN
Crimes: dozens of counts of fist degree murder, destruction of government property, resisting arrest, domestic terrorism, assault with a deadly weapon, assassination, assaulting a government official.
KNOWN ULTIMATES ASSOCIATE
REWARD: $15,000,000

To the right, a sketch of Charli, crouched, aiming their bow towards the viewer.

*their, ftr, and you seem to love to strawman anyone who disagrees with you as a "Snyderbot". Fwiw, I hate the Snyderverse and I really liked Superman, but acknowledging that would require you to accept that people can hold multiple opinions without being some evil boogeyman. Crazy talk, right?

131

Ace Of X @acespidey.bsky.social · 07/03/2026

Reducing any criticism of Lanterns to "Synderbots" is cowardly. I liked Superman because it was colorful. I am deeply worried about Lanterns because it seems afraid to be. These are not contradictory opinions, nor do they involve the Snyderverse. Grow up.

Lanterns trailer may have set a new land speed record for going from ‘this could be good’ to ‘I hope everyone involved has wet socks for the rest of their lives’.

People are allowed to dislike the fact that he decimated an important aspect of the character in order to not have to make a statement on weaponized xenophobia and how anti-immigrant hate campaigns are inflamed by misinformation, often propagated by rich white men, such as Lex Luthor.

020

Ace Of X @acespidey.bsky.social · 02/03/2026

In the current political climate especially, Gunn choosing to intentionally downplay the immigrant angle of Superman and play into harmful stereotypes with the "Superharem" (I felt gross typing that) is something I believe to be fully worthy of criticism.

120

Ace Of X @acespidey.bsky.social · 02/03/2026

In doing this, Gunn took from a story in which Superman is the victim of a xenophobic smear campaign and turned the ending from him reaffirming his heritage to him completely disavowing his immigrant status, all to fit in line with his preference for heroes with daddy issues.

120

Ace Of X @acespidey.bsky.social · 02/03/2026

Spoiler alert for a great Superman comic, but Superman: Birthright tackles a similar idea of Superman struggling with his heritage, after learning that Kryptonian society may have been horrifically evil. However, the comic had this be a clever fake by Luthor, while the movie played it 100% straight

130

Ace Of X @acespidey.bsky.social · 02/03/2026

Krypton being an explicitly evil colonial society is a very recent trend. It is not core to the character, and is allowed to be critiqued as an adaptational choice. People are allowed to call out Gunn for taking the most prominent immigrant superhero and forcing him to completely renounce his people

130

Ace Of X @acespidey.bsky.social · 02/03/2026

As someone who hates the Snyderverse for various reasons, including Snyder's fundamental misunderstanding of Superman, this take isn't it. Gunn blatantly reframed Superman's immigrant background to give him daddy issues (a common theme in his comic book works) and make Krypton irredeemably evil 🧵

I finally got around to drawing the greatest Ultimate of all time, Charli Ramsey aka Hawkeye #hawkeye #marvel #fanart #digitalart #ultimates #myart

On the left, a small sketch of Charli, unmasked, doing the "get a load of this guy" meme and pointing behind them to a Roxxon oil pipeline, while smirking. On the right, Charli, fully dressed in their Hawkeye suit, pulls back slightly on their bow wire a large tech arrow while looking to their left.

Thanks for the tag! I'm Ace, a black enby amateur artist who mostly draws fanart, though I enjoy making original designs when I get inspired.

In the center of the page, Doorway, dressed in a purple tracksuit with white highlights and dark purple gloves, shoes, and gaiter, stands with their right hand balled in a fist and their left curled. The fingers on their left glove are removed and hanging. Doorway's long locs are tied back with a lavender headband. On the left, there is a sketch of the other side if their reversible tracksuit jacket, used in civilian mode. On the left is a sketch of Doorway unmasked, their locs hanging freely and partly covering their eyes. Outside of costume, Doorway sports a pair of silver earrings and a septum ring, as well as dark purple eyeliner. Their eyes, however, remain weary.

On the left, Yukio, dressed in a shoulderless black shirt, leans in and kisses Storm, while holding a sword with her right hand. In the center, punk Storm, with her signature black sleeveless vest overtop a white shirt, kisses Yukio. On the right, Callisto, wearing a cropped orange shirt and black spiked choker, leans into Storm with her eye closed. Callisto's right hand grabs the end of the sword.

The page is bordered by a large black X in the center, separating the team members into four corners.
From top to bottom, left to right:
Magik, holding her blue soulsword behind her back with her right hand, and a yellow background behind her.
Magneto on the left, dressed in his 2013 white suit with his cape over his body and eyes in shadow, with a light purple background. Cyclops on the bottom, in his revolutionary suit, folding his hands with a light red background. Emma on the right, wearing her 2013 black suit with her left hand on her hip, contrasted by a light blue background.

it’s come to my attention that my tumblr post has been crossposted to bluesky, so I’m posting it on my account here #AntiAI #GenAI

recently my friend's comics professor told her that it's acceptable to use gen AI for script-writing but not for art, since a machine can't generate meaningful artistic work. meanwhile, my sister's screenwriting professor said that they can use gen AI for concept art and visualization, but that it won't be able to generate a script that's any good. and at my job, it seems like each department says that AI can be useful in every field except the one that they know best.

It's only ever the jobs we're unfamiliar with that we assume can be replaced with automation. The more attuned we are with certain processes, crafts, and occupations, the more we realize that gen AI will never be able to provide a suitable replacement. The case for its existence relies on our ignorance of the work and skill required to do everything we don't.

they didn’t leak it to make the shooter look innocent, but to make the victim look guilty. not guilty of a crime. guilty of having a visibly queer wife. guilty of liberalism. guilty of opposing the regime. they don’t seek to exonerate themselves, only to demonstrate who deserves to die.

Happy new year! Got inspired to do this old art trend with Storm and her (criminally underrated) girlfriends, Yukio and Callisto. #storm #xmen #marvel #art #digitalart #yuri

A photo taken from a production of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, featuring a woman on the left holding a sword and kissing the woman in the center. On the right, a man leans into the centered woman with his eyes closed and right hand holding the sword.

I was feeling inspired, so here's Storm and Callisto, one of my favorite X-Men ships. #xmen #marvel #art #myart #storm

Callisto, sporting her classic 80s black eyepatch, ripped orange shirt and cropped black jacket, is viewed from her right side. She is looking up at Storm, dressed in a black training outfit with white wraps around her hands. Both women are smirking at one another as they hold knives to each other's throats.

A few sketches of classic (70s-80s) Scott Summers, inspired by the work of Dave Cockrum, John Byrne, and Paul Smith. #cyclops #xmen #art #digitalart #myart

The top left sketch shows Cyclops, in his classic suit, with yellow gloves, boots, and large visor, over top a dark blue bodysuit, alongside a red belt with yellow X buckle. Cyclops looks to his right with his right hand scratching behind his head and his left hand on his hip. In the top right, Cyclops kneels with his right leg while looking to his left with his left hand touching the side of his visor. At the bottom center of the page, Scott Summers stands dressed in a red sweater and dark green pants, sporting his signature all-red ruby quartz glasses. Scott looks forward with his thumbs in his pockets.

Artists! Please show: ❗️ the first piece you did in 2025 ❗️ your favorite piece of the year ❗️ your most popular piece. ❗️ your most recent piece.

My Cyclops redesign, with a blue x on the chest, bordered by gold, gold lines inspired by the Astonishing X-Men suit running down the arms and torso until they curve out to the edge of the thighs, a blue belt with yellow X symbol, blue boots with gold trim, an X symbol on the back of each glove, and a yellow visor.

My spider-sona, the Azure Arachnid, dressed in a light blue and medium purple hooded suit, sits heavily shaded on the corner of a gray rooftop. Az is shown from a back view looking out at a red LED billboard of a wanted poster on a dark gray building. The billboard features a side-view image of the Vanisher, a dark brown haired, black suited villain with a mostly gray torso bordered by a red 'V' as well as gray mask, boots, and gaiter, and a red visor, cheekily squinting towards the camera while holding up a peace sign with his right hand. The billboard reads "WANTED
ALIVE
VANISHER
$500,000
AWARD".

24, a young man with his hands on his hips dressed in a blue jersey, gloves, and boots, over a yellow suit. The number 24 is emblazoned on the jersey in bold yellow. On his head, 24 wears a blue bike helmet with a yellow visor and black straps. To the left of 24 is a sketch of his figure after shrinking, standing at 2ft tall. Finished this design for my new DnD character, Detective Valcis, a tiefling warlock working as a noir detective under their patron, The Chief, who keeps pulling them back in for "one last case" #dnd #dndart #oc #ocart #artsky

Valcis, a purple tiefling with yellow eyes and dark purple hair, stands with their right hand holding a cigar to their lips, and the left in their pockets. Val is dressed in a white collared shirt with a dark gray tie and gray pants, under a gray trench coat with dark gray dress shoes and a gray hat that their two large curved horns stick out of. To the left of Val is a sketch of The Chief, a fey with pinkish skin, a gray mustache, and piercing blue eyes, dressed in a dark blue suit and cap with a white undershirt, and dark gray tie and shoes. He stands with his hands folded behind his back. To the right is a sketch of Val's face without the hat, hair uncovered.
