Alright i've done the very bare bare minimum research here, so correct me if I'm wrong but: On steam, developers are required to "report visible and in-game AI but not background tools". Where does UGC fall under this rule? Do the same rules apply? This seems like a weird gray area.

I ain’t gonna lie, the more I see AI art, the more sticky and gross it feels. Like a group I’m in did a joint commission from an artist to have all our avis drawn in p&s style and I just get nothin but warm fuzzies lookin at it. I never get those warm fuzzies lookin at AI art. Not even close.

Yo, im fuckin sick of dragging a bunch of things around in large heirarchies, so I made a tool in like ten minutes. Select all the shit you want, then right click some other game object, and "Reparent to Selection." I havent tested this, but it works so far lol

A friend of mine brought up to me today just how it easy it is now to optimize everything besides polycount. There's a lot of good, effecient tools out there now. Unfortunately, for polycount, its always some form of decimatation. Do you all think it's still worth to raise just the polycount limit?

Made this map this week in 3 days for a music event my friends and i had on Friday. I've never made a beach map, or an outdoor map for that matter. This was purely a challenge. Was it neccessary? No. Could I have done better? Maybe. Was it fun? Absolutely.

This working theory I have is that screen based lighting gives users something to ground themselves to (the screen lol), so it’s more well received with high contrast. Without something to ground people to, it may be come off disorientating in a headset when high contrast is employed.

Been wondering this for a while but are the flashing lights in dev_hell too intense? I experimented with more ambient lighting last event and that seemed to have helped a lot for some, but it still might be too much for others. Some even have said the opposite and claim it’s not enough, strangely
