At Absea, we think a protein-level reference can offer more. Our ¹⁵N-labelled protein standards generate multiple labelled peptides from the same reference protein after digestion, giving several peptide-level readouts instead of relying on one synthetic peptide. #MassSpectrometry #teammassspec

Antibody and MS assays can study the same protein, but they answer different questions. Antibodies offer sensitivity, throughput and epitope-specific recognition. MS gives peptide-level information. So why should quantitative MS rely on a single peptide as its reference? #Proteomics

Protein quantification often relies on one reference peptide, even though different peptides from the same protein yield different quantities. This doesn't necessarily mean something went wrong — part of your peptide population may carry a PTM or mutation. Which peptide are you trusting, and why?👇

A tumor that stops showing its ID can evade the immune system. MHC-I downregulation reduces antigen presentation and helps tumors escape CD8+ T cells. The challenge is seeing where it happens. #IHC preserves tissue architecture, which is why we've invested in HLA and B2M antibodies for FFPE tissue.
