Antibody and MS assays can study the same protein, but they answer different questions. Antibodies offer sensitivity, throughput and epitope-specific recognition. MS gives peptide-level information. So why should quantitative MS rely on a single peptide as its reference? #Proteomics

pTau217 is a core AD blood #biomarker. What can other tau phosphorylation sites add? Brain-tissue studies suggest pSer396 rises mainly at later Braak stages, alongside more widespread cortical tau pathology. Absea’s #pTau396 pairs are evaluated using protein standards and biological samples. 🧪

A promising biomarker in discovery is one thing. Quantifying it in validation is another. Once you need a concentration, what is it based on? A good full-length reference isn't always easy to find. ¹⁵N-labeled proteins provide a distinguishable one — part of the library we're working on at Absea.

A positive ELISA only tells you a clone binds the target. Not whether it'll work in WB, IHC, or flow. HybrMax™ tests application fit on hybridoma supernatant early, before expression, while sequencing runs in parallel.

Protein quantification often relies on one reference peptide, even though different peptides from the same protein yield different quantities. This doesn't necessarily mean something went wrong — part of your peptide population may carry a PTM or mutation. Which peptide are you trusting, and why?👇

A tumor that stops showing its ID can evade the immune system. MHC-I downregulation reduces antigen presentation and helps tumors escape CD8+ T cells. The challenge is seeing where it happens. #IHC preserves tissue architecture, which is why we've invested in HLA and B2M antibodies for FFPE tissue.

Screening #antibodypairs in both recombinant #protein and cell lysate early changes what moves forward. Pairs that only work in ideal conditions drop out sooner. Especially when you're seeing unstable signals or low separation in plasma. That’s how we structure it with P2P2P.

Why does an antibody pair work in screening— then fail in plasma? Three reasons. 👇️ 1/5

Absea Biotech @abseabio.bsky.social · 12/05/2026
#Antibodypairs look strong in screening. Then real samples behave differently. Usually not an antibody issue. It’s the screening conditions. If you're dealing with unstable signals or high background, this is usually where it starts. That’s the gap we work on with P2P2P. #Biotech

#Spatialbiology is shifting—from mapping cells to what they’re doing locally. In #immunology, that means cytokines: low-abundance, highly local, hard to measure. A real bottleneck. We built a pool of 128 IHC-validated antibodies to make cytokine detection in tissue less of a guessing game.
