Oh, shop bought clothes are a nightmare. I started to make my own because nothing, and I mean nothing, fits me in shops. I'm not a shop standard shape. 😆

That's a good call. I had assumed the name difference was due to professional reasons. I know a few people who have kept their maiden name for their professional life but go by married name in personal life. There must be some reason behind it. It's too weird for there not to be.

I do think we pigeonhole things too much these days age wise. People should enjoy things just for the sake of enjoying them. When it became clear that The Boy wasn't going to get over his fear of people dying in unpleasant ways I binged Horrible Histories on my own because it's flipping hilarious.

I once voiced a very enthusiastic dog I met as I do it all the time with mine. In silly voice "daddy, daddy, daddy can I talk to the hooooomans! Please!" The German couple who owned the dog looked at me. Looked at my obviously same age male friend. Looked at each other and backed away. 💀

It does remind me of a friend who swears he went to a Queen's open day when they got someone to come up and give a mouth swab to look at cheek cells and there were a fair few sperm in there as well.

So to be detailed about it, she used her hand to check the position before going in and was able to go straight in at the correct angle. Usually nurses have to move the dodaah about to locate my cervix as it's a tricky customer. That's the painful bit for me as everything is fused together.

I wish I had known that Drs can do them before now and are allowed to check the position before going in. Why nurses aren't allowed to is beyond me. Genuinely have never had such a straightforward smear.

PSA with a side of TMI incoming... If you find cervical smears painful ask if a Dr in your surgery can do it. They can check the position of your cervix before inserting the equipment. Nurses aren't allowed to so need to move the equipment which adds to the pain.

The scariest thing we ever watched in our house was Dr Who. At the age of 12 I had a sleepover with a friend whose parents were very relaxed about the videos in the house. She made me watch Silence of The Lambs and Child's Play in one night. I don't think I slept for a week.
